Sarah is my Aesthetician & she is wonderful. I recommend adding the plant peel to your facial for a very nice gentle exfoliation. I’ve received the Outer Peace facial(for blemish/acne — prone skin) and I love the Outer Peace skincare line. It smells SO good. The acne relief pads & acne relief lotion are now staples in my skincare routine. It’s worth every penny. The Elemental Nature(I think it’s called) is also great. I love the fact that you get to pick which essential oil you use each time during the Sensory experience. Highly recommend this Spa. I always feel welcome & appreciate the infused H20/tea upon arrival.

First time visit to Mark Pardo Salon and Spa on Coors Bypass. Autumn G. did my haircut. I felt it was really rushed. And today I washed my hair it is really uneven. I have been to many Aveda Salons around the country and I am very familiar with the Aveda brand and procedures. I never received scalp massage and Ms. Autumn very unfriendly. I will NOT return to this Aveda Salon again. Too sad!!! First bad experience at an Aveda Salon.

I had a wonderful experience at Mark Pardo Salon with an enthusiastic and wonderful hair stylist, Britni Sanchez! I love my new cut, it is a perfect shape and style. The whole experience was great with professionalism and knowledge from all the people I encountered during my visits. I highly recommend Mark Pardo Salon. L.W.

All I can say is OUCH! I’m super disappointed. To give you some background: 1. I’ve been getting my hair and brows done at Aveda salons and institutes(schools) since 2008 because I assume all Aveda estheticians are trained the same way. I moved to ABQ from PHX3 weeks ago. I try to get my brows waxed every 4 weeks, but with my move, 5 weeks passed. Before I left PHX, I asked my salon there if they knew of a good Aveda salon in ABQ. Mark Pardo Salon was highly recommended since my stylist in ABQ attended his Aveda Institute in ABQ. This Aveda salon is more expensive than ones I’ve been to in Tampa, New Orleans, Vegas, and Phoenix, but I figured I’d rather be safe than sorry. Yesterday, I went in for a 4:45pm brow wax appointment. Everything seemed fine until the tech pulled off the wax. Even though she used the sensitive skin wax, as I requested, it took off skin! At the salon, I glanced in the mirror and suggested that perhaps because ABQ was higher in elevation than PHX, I was more dehydrated than I was in(much hotter) PHX. I even stated that the very first time I got my brows waxed(20 years ago) at a chump beauty school in my home town, skin was pulled off and they scabbed over. Well, now that I’m at home I see the REALREASON is because she put wax on my upper eye lid – not just my brow bones. I don’t get hair on my upper eye lids – like other humans – and the eye lid is naturally thinner and more sensitive. I guess because I was her last appt for the day, she was in a hurry and got sloppy with the wax. Now, I have bright red, Cell Plasma-scabby sores on my upper eye lids. When I showered last night, I had to douse my eye lids with the cold, well water coming out of my shower head because they burnt so damn bad when I washed my face with sensitive skin wash. To make matters worse, the tech took too much hair off my eye brows even though she said she could see the growth line from when I had them done by «my» perfectionist tech in PHX. Finally, my brows don’t even match up! I paid $ 30 for this. THISSUCKS. Now, I feel like I’ve got to grow out my brows completely and start all over again. In the future, I’ll just go to the Aveda Institute because I believe students are more self-conscious of making mistakes and will spend more time assessing my brow shape and won’t take too much off. It’s like the old saying, «Measure twice; cut once.» You can always go back and remove more but you can’t put it back on. ANDITWILLCOST A WHOLELOTLESSTHAN $ 30.

I have been going to Mark Pardo for over six years now and have had the same hairdresser that entire time. I’m not going to give her name because she is already difficult to get in to see ;-), but really all of the people here seem to do a great job and you can trust just about anybody that works here with your hair. Prices are a little steep, but you get what you pay for.(Tip: discount on your birthday month!)

I love Mark Pardo Salon. My hairdresser, Max, is absolutely the best. She always cuts my hair exactly like I want it. I am always greeted when I walk in and offered something to drink. In addition, you get a nice neck/shoulder massage when you get your haircut. I know their prices are a bit above average but having tried other places, I have to say it’s worth it.

I’d taken the time to let my hair grow out a little bit, so I wanted to go someplace that would do a good job giving it some shape and style. And after 6 months of growing it out, I didn’t want to trust it to a cheap salon or barber. Having slightly longer hair as a guy, I’ve found that some places don’t quite know what to do with you. The reviews of the other Mark Pardo locations seemed a bit hit or miss, but I thought I’d give this one a try nonetheless. I wasn’t disappointed. The entire experience, from making the reservation on the phone to the cut itself was great. The men’s haircut prices start at $ 30 which doesn’t seem too steep to me for the quality you get. Tip: if you sign up for their free email offers, you’ll instantly get $ 5 off your haircut. So at $ 25, it’s an even better deal. I’d definitely recommend it.
