I dig this library. It’s on the smallish side, so obviously not as big of a book selection as main, but it really has a nice cross section of interests. This branch is very clean, and staff very helpful. Tends to be pretty quiet/low traffic so there’s room to spread out when studying and is low on distractions. The folks that do frequent this place are pretty mellow, which makes for a nice library experience. Hours are a bit odd… not open til 11am a couple days during the week, but no major complaints.

If these library walls could speak, they’d tell you all about me. When you get to know your local public library the relationship can mirror something familial. I’ve used this resource to find amazing books on tape, professional texts and resources, fantastic music(who knew the library could rock such an amazing music selection? Wow!), and that’s only the half of it. This branch has terrific kids programs, toddler on up, and some great partnerships with local artists which showcase monthly exhibitions. Staff is attentive and classically library-esque(you know what I mean: that mix of friendly and stern). The facility is very clean and comfortable, there’s a large sitting/reading area toward the center. The computer resource area can host a crowd and nearly a quarter of the entire building is devoted to children, where events are hosted as well. Bathrooms are a little modest, but clean. And like many modern public conveniences, the hours of this branch and many others all over the city have been drastically cut, which is such a shame. Los Griegos has served such an important role in our lives over the past few years, it’s a shame to see the doors locked.
