They don’t have any furniture pieces in store. I was looking for the tabletop writing center. Orders take 2 weeks.
Staff was very helpful and cheerful. My 5-​year-​old had a good time exploring while I looked for some things.

I was going to say that I’m not a teacher, but actually, I think we are all teachers at some point and that parents are truly the primary teachers (for better or worse). Lakeshore Learning Materials is a great resource for those moments when your kid just isn’t convinced that carrying the one is going to solve anything and you have to run out and buy an elaborate pneumonic so you can demonstrate that even if you don’t trust your dad, the beads don’t lie! Also a great place to stop on the way to a birthday party for a kid that you have never met and know absolutely nothing about. Just figure out the grade of your host and grab a game from that aisle. Most of the items are educational but some burry the learning so deep inside that no hoodwinked 2^nd grader is going to know that the Shark Popper that shoots balls at his guests is really demonstrating Pascal’s Law and Newtonian ballistics, not to mention engraining a subliminal empathy for endangered sharks that won’t manifest until high school.
