I’ve always been skeptical (or simply afraid) of high end photography studios, but Kyle and crew are MORE than a photography studio.
Kyle believes that Life is Art, and she lives this in every aspect of her life, including the way she treats even the smallest of photo shoots. Kyle will do whatever it takes to draw you out of yourself, help you get over any nerves you may have, and help your true spirit shine for the camera. If you let her, she just might change your life!
She has a rare ability to see into people’s core, and find not only who they are, but who they will and want to become. That ability makes her not only sensitive to her clients’ unique personalities and needs, but to light as well. She finds the beauty in those everyday moments we rarely capture (you know the ones when you’re thinking, «Gee, I wish this moment was recorded for eternity, but I’m just going to Iive it instead»), and her vibrant energy helps you and your family create those in the studio.

A little context: I’ve had about three photography sessions in the past few years with other photographers. I needed professional photos taken for work I do in the world of physical movement type stuff. I am a larger, and very proud woman, and a huge part of my message and what I teach, is that our size has nothing to do with fitness and nothing to do with whether we can take on the same physical challenges as people in different bodies. We are seriously misinformed about size and health. And it is a poor excuse for a lot of people to be arrogant about it. Being a larger person, I get the judgemental, fearful up and down stare from people from time to time. I know it’s really about them. This is part of life. Everybody got their thang. It’s just not okay and very unsettling when I’m posing for a photographer I’ve hired and I’ve gotten this vibe. The whole you are beautiful in spite of being a size 16 instead of you are just beautiful. Not okay when I’m making a point that we all have a right to feel good about ourselves and good in our bodies. I kept waiting for someone to get it. I could see it in the photos. Then I found Kyle.
Kyle is the difference between getting a good or the prettiest shot possible, and seeing what’s beautifully, imperfect or human – the things that make us unique – and connecting with that. Then she makes it shine in a portrait.
I hearby name Kyle Zimmerman The Photo Whisperer. She’s also part mad scientist, but you’ll have to see that for yourself when you work with her.
Kyle was also friendly. Made me comfortable. And was a lot of fun. She kept me in the moment and she kept me real. Everything I wanted. I ended up buying double the amount of prints I had planned to buy.
Also, Katie, part of her staff, was a total joy to work with as well. She set up the appointment, called me back when she said she would, made a very clear confirmation call and assisted Kyle during the shoot. I told Kyle to keep her very happy – you can’t train employees to have that kind of a service mentality (or kindness in general.)

Kyle Zimmerman uses a natural and fun way when she poses. She got us to laugh and made it really easy and painless! We had a great time! I highly recommend her for all of your photography needs.

Scheduled family photos on a tight time frame which they were happy to do. When we made the appt we were told the almost $ 400 fee included a cd of photos. After an hour of pictures I went to pay & was told the $ 400 was just the sitting fee & to get 5 cd’s with all the pics would be an additional $ 800. No prints, mind you. I felt over a barrel since my kids flew in all over the country. Photos were good, price was shocking. I had paid half that last time we had pics done in a big city. Now they won’t stop sending me advert emails trying to sell me prints after spending ~$ 1200 already.

Kyle and her team are top notch. They will help you feel at home and relax, so you get the best photos possible. They really caught the full range of my personality and were very prompt in getting the photos to me. Couldn’t be happier. I recommend them highly!

We were lucky enough to have Kate as our wedding photographer and were amazed by the quality of her work, professionalism and all-​around awesomeness. Previous experiences with other photographers never went well for us and we approached the search for a wedding photographer with trepidation. During our engagement photo session, however, our fears melted away as Kate was able to expertly pose us and kept us laughing throughout the whole session. While this session made us feel good about selecting her, we were beyond happy after we got the photos. I don’t know how much photo shop she needed to do but, wow, she made us look good! In the next couple of months, she reached out to us with questions and responded promptly when we had questions for her (we learned that this is a rare characteristic of wedding vendors). For our wedding day, she had so much enthusiasm and professionalism that even our guests had to comment on how great she was! Our wedding photos were creative, timeless and perfect — so much better than we ever could have imagined. Highly, highly recommend Kate and Kyle Zimmerman Photography!

Kyle and Max are an amazing duo. They are able to bring out the best of you in their images. Kyle and Max have been with us for every big step of my and my wife’s life. They captured the best of us for our engagement, our wedding, our business, our animals, and now maternity pictures. We are looking forward to using them for our first family photo and for every other mile stone that comes our way.

I love the entire crew at the studio. They were amazing to work with and I couldn’t be happier with how our pictures turned out. I cannot wait to hang them on the wall and enjoy them every day. I hope that they are enjoyed for generations to come. I plan on visiting the studio many times in the future!
