Best beef jerky in New Mexico or any place. The strip of meet is not thin like the other brands that sell for more $$. I always stick to this place.

We were sent here on a mission to find and bring back what i was told the BEST beef jerky every! She was right… It is really thin and full of flavor, lots and lots of flavor. I love the thin part of the beef jerky, i wear braces right now and its easy on my braces. I am hooked. Now when we travel to Albuquerque, we stop by and buy for us and our friends. Its a really small store and the two pictures you see that someone else posted, pretty much covers it, lol 4 stars is for the availability, need it on the web or convenience stores, maybe? Make sure you try J&D Foods beef jerky, you won’t be sorry :)

Truly the best tasting jerky. This is a classic jerky with flavors in green chili, red chili, peppered, and classic salt. The jerky is not overwhelmed with flavors like teriyaki like other manufacturers use and it is not chewy like bubble gum. This is old fashioned jerky at its best with real beef flavor.

After searching the earth for the best carne seca I think I have finally found the place and it’s all natural too! they only have a few flavors here but really that’s all they need. I think the place is family ran and they treat you like one of the family, the young man at the counter is especially nice and knowledgeable and will take the time help you pick out the perfect bag. Watch out for the little old lady though she is sweet and funny but can be quite abrasive and dismissive when she wants to be! I can’t recommend this place enough, yum!

This jerky is my personal favorite! The red chile jerky is amazing and the green chile has a nice flavor too. Now that I am totally addicted to the stuff it’s great knowing that they will ship! I have found it to be the best you can buy and the owner is pretty great too!

OK, After several months I have bought over 500 $ worth of this beef jerky. It is the best in the world. The totality of ingredients? beef, Salt. That is it. If you like real beef flavor and not artificial added flavor this is the best.

This is a great place to buy fresh freeze dried Sandia green grown in the Hatch area of New Mexico. Jane and her daughter Debbie are two beautiful New Mexican natives, who do a good job of taking care of the clients needs. Whenever we are in New Mexico our last stop is to go visit them and fill our cooler for our return trip to California. We have tried their green chile, red chile and all three styles of jerky and highly recommend all of their products. Peter & Noël Lujan 925−837−8649

They sell two items here… beef jerky and frozen green chiles. It’s mostly a wholsale place but they will sell to the public. They sell 3 types of beef jerky… plain but salted, green chile and red chile. $ 9 for a 7 oz packet. The name brand of the jerky is Bar X Brand. The green chile jerky consists of beef, chopped green chile, salt and garlic. This jerky is more like beef chips than jerky. They dry the jerky so much that it crunches in your mouth. Maybe some people like their jerky that way… but I am used to the tough as leather type where you have to chew your teeth off after eating a pack. Personally I do not like jerky this dry. You can just about make beef powder from this jerky. UPDATE12/13/2007 After going through about 2 oz of this jerky, I personally found it to be … AWFUL. I can’t recommend this jerky unless you like crunchy cardboard. This jerky is so dessicated that all the flavors left with the water. The only taste left is the salt, garlic and hotness of the chile.
