this is the hotel for you if the following apply: 1. You need just a roof over your head for at least a week(this is extended stay) 2. You don’t want to spend a fortune 3. You are willing to bring your own stuff to be comfortable 4. Have low expectations RESERVATIONS…NOT! I was vendor at Albuquerque international Balloon Fiesta and had to have a place for over a week. I had to keep the expenses down. Rooms fill up very quickly here so if you’ve procrastinated your choices are limited. I made reservations on line. RESERVATIONS mean jack diddly squat to this hotel. You reserve your room but you don’t have to give a credit card. So even though you are a sent confirmation number and everything in your email the HOTELDOESNTHONORRESERVATIONSITSFIRSTCOMEFIRSTSERVEANDTHEYWILLNOTHOLDYOURROOM. So show up 11am the day of check in first thing if you want to get your room. Of course I’m dealing with the crazy crowds of Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta so perhaps if a different time of year this is not the case. ACCOMADATIONS(sp?) The bedding, towels, pillows are GROSSGROSSGROSS!!! Unless you like crunchy towels, threadbare sheets and lumpy pillows, Read my lips, BRINGYOUROWN! Bring the following if you want to try to make this hotel work: 1. Sheets 2. Comforter 3. Pillow 4. Towels 5. Toilet paper(you get one for your whole stay) 6. Disinfecting wipes 7. Your own pots and pans, utensils everything if you plan on cooking 8. Soap and shampoo STAFF People are nice. The manager Ella is very nice and accomadating. Maids come one a week and they are nice. A guy came and fixed my running toilet and he was nice. YOURHOTELNEIGHBORS you’re going to see a lot of people who have moved in here to have somewhere to stay. Not that they are dangerous or anything just obviously trying to have a cheap place to stay. A few times I saw homeless kids waiting outside hotel in the morning(try at 430 am) you see families with kids who seemed to have moved in. So let’s sum it up! PROS 1. Cheap cheap cheap! I paid 220 with all fees for 7 days 2. Great loud air conditioner that keeps room cool and provides nice white noise to drown out noise of highway . 3. Well lit 4. Staff is pretty nice CONS 1. Reservations are not really reservations. As Seinfeld would say, «they know how to take the reservation, they just don’t know how to HOLD the reservation. 2. Not particularly clean(Oh Gawd! What’s that stain on the carpet?!) if you black light this room you’d hear the music from the the shower scene in the movie«Psycho» and run out screaming. 3. This is a no frills hotel. I mean ZERO! Bring your own stuff if you want to survive it There you have it!

Do not step foot upon this hotel. It is dingy, dirty, housekeepers and maintenance have been known to steal from the guests while they were out and about, the pricing changes without your knowledge ahead of time, front desk attendants are angry all of the time because of the low pay, the male general manager has even evicted people without just cause and without due process. It is a bad place to be. Try crossland, candlewood suites, or extended stay. You’ll be better off trust me.

Paul H. sums it up exactly. Agree with him completely. This is a 2 star motel with long stay rates. No kitchen plates or utensils at all, and no hangers in the closet. No alarm clock. While the staff is decent, the other guests appear to be the usual down-and-out types one runs into around 2 star motels. I am not comfortable here. The Wi-Fi is so slow as to be useless. Not enough bandwidth to use Google Maps or to upgrade Adobe Flash Player in less than 45 minutes.

This is a very basic extended stay residence. Positives: clean, well-maintained, pleasant/helpful staff, affordable. Negatives: Small rooms, no kitchen utensils or cookware provided, bathroom towels have the consistency of sandpaper, extremely slow wireless Internet access(although advertised as ‘high speed’), no soap or TP replacement(really?). In short, this residence is best described as adequate.

The 42″ tv with Showtime Channels and HDMI Plug-in is the best part about the room, besides the price, which is $ 100/week less than Extended Stay America. Good enough internet, but slow for streaming… The location is great, with easy enough access to explore Albuquerque if you have a car. The size of the room is good for 2 people, though the beds are only full size and not super comfy… we brought in our own pillows and comforter, which made a big difference. No pots, pans or dishes are provided, but if you have your own to bring, the kitchen is good enough for an extended stay. The towels a small and rough, but you get to keep them at the end, and again, we have our own. Overall, I’m very happy we chose to stay in ABQ for the week here at Intown Suites and I recommend it to anyone who just needs a home for a week or more.
