History

Established in 1996.

Home Instead Senior Care is a locally owned franchise. Our company was founded in Omaha, Nebraska in 1994. The founders created the company when they found there were no service providers to assist their grandmother in her desire to remain in her own home as she aged. They created a company that has now become an international provider of home care. In over 15 countries now, we are able to provide care that is tailored to the individual needs of each client… no matter where they live. We carefully screen, and hand pick the caregivers that will be matched to be the ongoing service provider to you or your loved one.

Meet the Business Owner

Mary M.

Business Owner

A native of Albuquerque, Mary has always had a love of working with seniors. This desire to help started at a young age as she mowed lawns, raked leaves, or walked dogs for neighborhood seniors. She was close to her grandmother and was involved in her care as well. She prided herself on making sure her grandmother’s home was clean and her medications were accurate and current. Mary made sure that the food in the refrigerator was appropriate for her grandmother’s diabetic diet.

Her desire to work with seniors led her to pursue a degree in gerontology. Owning the Home Instead Senior Care franchise allows her to assist hundreds of seniors in the Albuquerque metro area on a daily basis.

She is involved in shaping the policies here in Albuquerque as she serves on the mayor’s advisory board for senior affairs. She is also the board president for Uniting New Mexicans Against Adult Abuse.

There is no place she would rather be than caring for seniors.
