sorry i could not give less than one star. i paid 24 bucks for 2 lbs of bbq ribs. they were dry and not tender at all. they boast best ribs in town, false advertising. they used to have frozen ribs for cheaper but not really any more. i ask every time i go and it is very clear now that No rib no matter how OLD and Dry goes into the frozen rib category, they are sold as fresh. When a business care more about the money and LESS about the quality it hurts all of their outlets. I understand the owner also has the Frontier Restaurant on Central. Clearly the owner has no control over the managers, locations, or quality. This is beyond acceptable. Bottom line, don’t waste your hard earned dollars at any Golden Pride or Frontier Restaurant, the owner and the products are not worth it. i will go tomorrow and return the 1−¾ lbs that we didn’t eat for a refund.

After eating their Carne Adovada Burrito — I’m hooked! McDonald’s Breakfast Burritos can suck it! Nuff’ said.

Oh my goodness, I love this place. It is my #1 choice for breakfast in ABQ. Number nine, number 9, number 9, I order Breakfast burrito #9 and it is delicious. While traveling through Albuquerque last 4th of July week, I took my friends there. They absolutely loved it(which made me happy). They were impressed that the employees were actually making fresh dipped Fried Chicken, so after they finished their Breakfast burritos, they ordered Fried Chicken and loved it. My friends mom still craves this joint. I told her«lets take a flight and stay the night and eat at Golden Pride, it is only a hop skip and jump from Southern California» :). The employees are always very very friendly. Excellent Customer Service and fresh good food. You cannot go wrong :).

Albuquerque comes to life and manifested through the breakfast burritos. Any combination, any chile, with coffee and an order of hash-browns and you are guaranteed a joyful morning. Nothing fancy about this place, bring cash, grab a seat, and enjoy the sound of a party in your mouth.

Fist time here was a little hesitant about ordering a burrito hence the name Golden Pride. But this is my second time here and my forth time eating from this establishment. The Green chile burritos are cheap and are very delicious. I have also tried the carne adovada burritos and fried chicken. I was very impressed with all the food I have been eating here. If there is one complaint it would be the parking is small and the drive thru line is long during normal lunch and dinner hours. But love the fact that there is a drive-thru option available. There is also a vegetarian small menu section for those who do not eat meat. Not to mention the girls working the register are always super friendly. Awesome place for a quick bite on the go.

Hard-working staff; may have to wait for your fried chicken. It is worth it! BBQ chicken is smoked, falling off the bone tender – sauce on the side.

We came to the Golden Palace because of all the good reviews on Unilocal and we were not disappointed, the burritos are excellent! Lots of choices, the staff is wonderful. They have a no tipping policy, which is unfortunate, when people provide good service, you want to tip them. We will definitely return to try out their ribs for dinner!

The breakfast burritos are the best in town. Western hash browns are killer. Awesome chicken. And for dessert try the cinnamon roll that’s as big as a plate.

The breakfast burritos here have started a crack-like addiction in my body. Oh my gosh are these things good! I’ve had two #10s here while visiting Albuquerque. The hash browns are freshly made and that really adds to the flavor.

Always my favorite breakfast burritos. It is a family tradition to get the #2, my kiddos the #10 and my wife likes the #9. The hot cinnamon rolls are the best in the city.

Sunday morning I ventured out for some comfort food. I do not like the drive thru at Golden Pride Bbq Chicken & Ribs on Central NW. I use the drive thru often because I use a wheelchair and they are more accessible. I wanted take out so it seemed like a reasonable choice. They really should do something about the hilly, long, narrow drive thru. I ordered the Western Style Hashbrowns and a sweet roll. The hashbrowns were mushy and tasted more like mash potatoes and the sweet roll was tough. Right after I finished eating I got a horrible stomach ache and I am still recovering. The service was fast despite a long line but I will not be back.

How I thought these lacked flavor… Is beyond me. These are my favorite burrito. Perfect, fresh ingredients, never greasy, homemade tortillas. I frequently make the 30 +minute drive to get here! Great service too. The drive through can be a mile long and you don’t wait forever. Old — — -review — — Quick, consistent and convenient. I think the burritos are good(not great). The restaurant is run down-ish. I always get the number 9(potato, egg, cheese, green chile and added bacon). The chile is fresh. The potatoes are a bit unseasoned. The tortillas are soft. The burrito is not greasy. I think it lacks flavor, but I still go and enjoy the burritos almost every week.

Reviewing Golden Pride is tantamount to reviewing life itself in the 505. Reliable. Instantaneous. Goodness and warmth wrapped in the folds of a tortilla. No, I won’t remark on the barbeque. It’s just fine, but we Burqueños don’t thrive on that smack. We dig on the numbuh nine. Say it with me: Numbuh nine! Numbuh nine! Numbuh nine! For those uninitiated, that’s eggs, bacon, hash browns, green chile and cheddar cheese. Heaven. An Albuquerque original. It’s made to order in minutes, and you can safely munch while driving. And these people don’t back down on spice: the chile is stupid hot, green and orange and red and fabulous. The glory of their business model is the to-go lane, especially at this location. At Golden Pride, especially on a Saturday morning, it ain’t enough to get in the to-go lane on the other side of the building, nah ah. When you pull up you’ll see the line stretching back nearly a block, easy, and you’ll have to get in line way, waaaay back. And you’ll ask yourself whether it’s worth the wait. And then all of a sudden you’ll see some kid with a clipboard and a headset walking up to your car and asking for your order. And the line will be moving. And next thing you know, ca-blammo, you’re at the front window paying for your massive paper bag of goodies, the scent and warmth wafting through the car, and typically the woman on the other side of the window will send you off with a smile and a few words like, «You have a nice day, hon.» And your weekend will be off to a perfect start.

OHMYYGOTTTTSSSS! This place is really awesome. It is a staple of breakfast burrito goodness everytime I am in Albuquerque. There is nothing like a fresh potato, bacon, and green chile burrito in the morning. I have not tried any other food items here or went into the actual restaraunt, but if they are anything like this burrito then we are all better for it! My family got me hooked on these burritos a few years back and now I am hooked on them. They are really fresh and your order comes quick, even when i am ordering like 20 burritos for my family and I all at once, ok actually they are all for me, but please dont tell anyone. Golden Pride is right off Central and the drive thru is easily accessed. Like I said before they make these bad boys quick so there is little wait time. The staff is really nice and accomodating, even when i ask for no cheese, no egg, and extra green chile! Overall this place is pretty much the best spot I ahve found anywhere for my morning burritos. Maybe i should try something else there but why change a good thing!

Tried the green chile stew this morning. A little under $ 3 for 8oz and COMPLETELY worth it. Absolutely delicious flavor and perfectly spicy! Love this place!

Best fried chicken I’ve EVER had! When you first walk in, you may think to yourself…“what a dump”. And yes, it is in DIRE need of an update. But good food is good food, right? When we went last night, the place was hopping. There was a guy behind the counter trimming and breading the chicken… fresh and made to order. I ordered a 2 pc white w/cole slaw and mashed potatoes. The pieces were pretty big… even the wing. They were so hot, juicy and chock a bock full of flavor I could jump for joy!(I swear I’m salivating just remembering!!) The cole slaw was excellent! The mashed potatoes were okay… kind of like school cafeteria style though but still yummy. My hubby ordered the ribs and he let me have a taste. OMG! Soooooo smokey, tender and moist! FABULOUS! And I don’t normally care for ribs. BBQ sauce was great as well. We also ordered a beef taco to share and even that was pretty good… and honestly, better than the taco I got from Sadies(with an $ 8 price difference). They also have fresh brewed iced tea… yeah! We ended our meal w/a frontier roll… the only disappointment to the meal. I don’t think it was fresh… it was tough, like it was days old. Not the frontier roll I remember from my days at UNM. I’d take off ½ a star if I could for that. I haven’t tried their breakfast burritos yet, which are available all day. Something to look forward to…

I have only had a breakfast burrito at Golden Pride. More than once. The #9 to be exact. Egg, hash browns, cheddar cheese, green chile, bacon. All rolled up into a soft, fat white cylindrical object of breakfasty righteousness. I will likely have one again the next time I am in Albuquerque. Unless something stops me. Like crazed space aliens hellbent on stopping the spread of the secret protection to their mind control rays-green chile. You heard it here first.
