Established in 2011.

In March, 2011, Bruno & Hazel opened their new Restaurante in NW Albuquerque. As a child, Owner Hazel Herrera spent many hours standing on a stool in front of her grandmother’s stove, learning the zesty, and sometimes fiery, recipes of her family. These are the recipes that come to your table in the restaurant today.

El Bruno’s Cuba Restaurante y Cantina has been in business since 1975 and Hazel still spends her days making sure the famous quality of her food never changes. Customers to El Bruno’s now see Bruno & Hazel’s grandchildren at the restaurant, perhaps learning old family recipes.
