Being a self admitted Coke addict(the soft drink) I frequent most of the CircleK’s in Alb I’m shocked at how most are ran and I’m even more shocked that CircleK’s corporate offices don’t seem to have much(if any) type of Quality Control… and I mean that in every sense of the word! This particular CircleK at Indian School & Carlisle is flat out horrible, the fountain drink station is always a mess, the«Coke» on the very far left gets stuck and pulling the lever back doesn’t work, so eventually, the Coke is running all over the floor and when you inform the clerk, they say«no worries, it always happens» yeah no shit Sherlock… get it fixed! Because of this CircleK’s constant issues, I’ve literally had to adopt a new way of getting my fix… they’re either out of straws, lids or 44oz cups or the machine’s Co2 isn’t working OR there’s no ice…(this is also an ongoing issue at the dangerous CircleK on Menaul & University as well) Nothing like filling up a 44oz cup of coke to find out their completely out of lids… thanks a lot! The guys on the evening shift are foul mouthed and they talk as if the mom with her 12 year old daughter is totally okay with it and that is only if you can even hear them over the hardcore gangsta rap that’s playing way too loud thru the stores speaker system! But my favorite part about this store is, playing that little game of getting back to my truck without my feet getting stuck to the asphalt from all the Coke still on me shoes and avoiding the beggars that those same clerks get high with! This store is a joke and it needs a major overhaul!

Just stopped in here for ice and both employees were outside by the main entrance smoking pot. One handed it off to the other so I could buy my ice. WOW!

Sometimes, the demands of my active lifestyle take me to this Circle K. Sodas, swishers, smokes, lottery tickets, and miller high life, mostly. This store has these items in multitudes, and it stays open hella late, but it’s kind of expensive. One pack of my preferred brand of cigarette, for example, costs $ 1.50 more here than it does at the Chevron across Indian School. But hey! Sometimes you run out of smokes at 1 in the morning. It’s a tax you have to pay. I think my friend might have paid $ 6 and change for a pint of Ben and Jerry’s here while the grocery store was still open. Gotta question his judgment on that one. They stop selling beer at midnight like everybody else. Basically this is the same gas station that’s on every corner throughout the city. There are four gas pumps, and people sometimes leave half-empty beer cans on top of them. The clerks are cool, except for the one day Thor told everybody in line his story about being a corporate spy. Why did you do that, dude? Really bugged on my chill. Sometimes there are panhandlers in the parking lot, sometimes there aren’t, but that’s basically a non-issue. Speaking of the parking lot there is plenty of parking. What else… uh if you ride the bus there’s a 5 stop line right out front that takes you toward UNM and downtown, or you can catch the eastbound 6 off Indian School between like 4:15 and 5:45 in the afternoon I think and thats a surprisingly chill bus ride. I hear about this place getting robbed a lot but I’ve never actually seen it happen.

This particular Circle K is located on the corner of Carlisle and Indian School across from that big red arrow that everyone knows about. I’ll stop here when I’m not so much in a rush at the same time as I am in dire need for coffee. There are different morning workers here; my favorite one is «Tina.» I’m glad to see her working there because she is caring, focused, fast, and helpful. For example she will give tips like, «If you bring in your own coffee cup, then refills are only $ 1.07.» Other than Tina and coffee — I come here for fountain drinks, junk food, and to use the redbox. Heads up: some days there are people outside asking for money and/or resources. If this happens, then just notify one of the employees because they will ask those people to leave. The company wants to keep this place as respectable as possible, so they do not want their customers bothered by beggars. I have to say this is helping the customers not to feel uneasy driving up to their business. Thank you Circle K employees! You all make is place better than A-OK! Hence, the employees earn this place four stars.
