Chet’s Wheel Alignment

I had a sub par experience with Gary and Tim. They were really impatient. I asked Gary to help me understand why brakes squeak. He gave a long deep sigh and said, do you really want me to go over that? I did, but I was afraid to ask more because he sounded like he really didn’t want to talk to me haha. Overall he was kind of mean to me in the way he spoke to me, but maybe he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
When I went to Albuquerque Tire it was like night and day. Richard was super nice, super patient, and didn’t mind explaining to me what was wrong with the car. There was no pressure or condescending in our interaction.
Also Chet’s only does a full for wheel alignment, even if all you need is a front wheel adjustment. Albuquerque Tire was honest and let me know I only needed a front wheel adjustment and I saved $ 15.
Chet’s will charge $ 25 extra for brake inspection. Albuquerque Tire will do it for free.
I mainly just wish that they had treated me like a real person and not something that was stupid and annoying. I don’t know much about cars and I need people to be patient, courteous and kind to me if I don’t understand something.

This is the second time we’ve had work done. As usual, the work done was high quality, staff was pleasant to deal with, charges were reasonable. I appreciate the fact that when they say the car will be ready, it’s ready. This is our «go to» place for car/​truck repairs.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
I didn’t know you really need an appointment, but I got lucky and they squeezed me in anyway. They have a Hunter balancer and actually know how to use it. I’ve had tires balanced all over North America, and the only other shop I’ve found that truly knows how to get vibration out of a car is up in Boise, Idaho.
To the reviewers complaining about attitude, I can only say I don’t care about attitude when they know what they’re doing, and these guys do. I took my beater Camry I use for commuting in yesterday which had a terrible balance job done when four new Michelin tires were put on by a different shop. After Chet’s redid the balance and most importantly, ensured all the wheels were true, it now runs perfectly flat at… extremely high speed. Feels like a brand new car now except for some residual noise due to some uneven tire wear caused by the original bad balance.

I have taken my vehicles to Chet’s for a number of years (decades actually) and they are always the best. They make appointments that actually mean something. You show up at the correct time and they start work. They are very accommodating, a favorite place for those who buy tires from Tirerack. They are honest (I know, who ever heard of such a thing in the auto repair business). The work done is excellent and in particular the RoadForce tire balance cannot be beat. Others may have the same equipment but these guys know how to use it. If you are particular you will not believe the difference Chet’s can make in the drivability of even the average car.

I have used Chet’s in the past they fit me in quickly. They do an amazing job. Their prices are reasonable. Their service is amazing. I will always use Chet’s for my wheel alignments. Thanks Chet’s.

I had some front end work completed on my truck and unfortunately there was a miscommunication between the tech and the front as to what was diagnosed and what was repaired. The oversight was corrected and my vehicle is running great. I am very appreciative that Chet’s was accommodating to me and my needs, and took the time to correct the issue.
I’m very happy! I would encourage anyone to take their vehicle here, superior service and they take the extra time to make sure that their customers come first.

Fantastic! On a recent cross-​country trip in my Jeep I began to experience some fairly serious out-​of-​balance issues between Flagstaff and Amarillo. I swooped into Chet’s and they treated me to a one-​hour pit-​stop that made my 35″ all-​terrain tires sing through the rest of the trip. Happy and appreciative they were there for me!

I love chets. I take every vehicle I own there and have been satisfied. I heard that they lost their good employees to boulevard but I don’t know how true that is

I would not take my car anywhere else for tire work. Chet’s can do road force balancing which guarantees the best possible balance. They are always careful with my wheels unlike some of the other discount stores in town. They are also a recommended TireRack installer which makes it simple to order your tires online and have them shipped to their location.
