Welcome to Car Crafters! We are a locally owned and operated shop that has been serving Albuquerque, New Mexico for over 33 years! When he was younger, owner and founder Jim Guthrie developed a passion for racing, which led to a knack for fixing cars. He started repairing cars for friends and family out of his parents garage. When their cul-​de-​sac reached it’s capacity, Guthrie’s parents told him to stop and focus on becoming a dentist or get his own body shop. In January 1982, Guthrie chose the latter and started Car Crafters in a one car garage. Today, Car Crafters has 4 locations all around Albuquerque. Car Crafters has been named one of the Top 10 Shops in the nation 4 years in a row by ABRN Magazine (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014). We were also named «Best of the City» for Collision Repair Shops by Albuquerque the Magazine in 2013 and Best Auto Repair Shop in 2014.
