We decided to try this place for family dinner based on a friend’s recommendation who told us about the excellent drinks and food especially the«chelada» and wings. At the beginning things seemed ok, the décor is pretty good, there’s enough TV’s to keep you entertained but we waited a while for the waitress to do the first touch and ask for our drink order. Once we got our drinks they were not anywhere what we were told to expect, they were nothing special. We put in our food order and waited, and waited, while we waited we never got drink refills(iced tea) unless we flagged down one of the waitresses passing by. Though our waitress only had two tables to service she didn’t come by to check on us, she would rather hang out up front with the rest of the waitresses. Once we got our food, the burgers were pretty good, the wings not so much, they were soggy so we asked our waitress to take them back which she did. The manager brought them back and asked us to try which we did but they were burnt so we had her redo a new batch. When she brought back a new batch she seemed to scold us for ordering wings with sauce instead of dry rub which would not make the wings seem like they were soggy. I was surprised she would say that after trying to refry wings that were already sauced which burned the sauce onto the wings rather than just redoing a fresh batch, she should have known better! The prices were what you would expect of a chain but honestly you’re better off spending money to get decent food somewhere else. Overall the mix of mediocre food, an unmotivated and mediocre staff and high prices for what we received made for an unpleasant experience overall. We were courteous to leave a decent tip for our waitress who didn’t earn it but will not be returning to this place anytime soon.

My girlfriend and I use to go to Bubba’s at least once a week. We stopped going because most times we went each week, we would get the same waitress. Every time we got her, her service was very poor. We would wait maybe 15 – 20 minutes for her to wait on us. And even then, she would walk by even without empty cups sitting by the end of the table, she would walk by. So we stopped going for maybe 3 – 4 months. After a while, I thought maybe we could try again. The first two times, we had two different waitresses who were at least attentive and always checked on us. But until tonight, had a great waiter, was attentive and checked on us occasionally. I order a pint of dues equips to settle down to a nice dinner. I assume that since this is a great restaurant chain all over America, you’d believe the cups would be clean. It should have been my responsibility to check the cup, but to my knowledge, it should have been clean. My girlfriend points to me that my cup has these horribly food stains all over. I thought maybe it was me, but I put my finger to see if it would scrape off. No, there were nasty stains sitting all around my cup that have hardened on the glass. I even have a picture to prove that as well. I spoke with the manager who very concerned and brought me a new and larger cup to compensate for the disgusting cup. I knew it was not the waiters fault, but at least it could been checked before serving me an unclean cup. As soon as we got our food, I asked for a Bubba’s Double Burger. Just 2 patties, lettuce, tomatoes and Bubba sauce(asked for no onions) with green chili. Unless I made it unclear, that’s all I wanted. Somehow my burger magically surprised me with cheese and bacon. Do not get me wrong, it was a nice gesture, but did not really care for the bacon or cheese. I asked the server that was this supposed to come on the burger and he told me even the classic cheeseburger comes with it. But on the menu, nowhere does it say it comes with cheese and bacon. It was only a $ 1 extra but just having a simple order made, seemed super difficult. So we went on eating our dinner, did not mind the burger which was delicious. Now my girlfriend’s pizza after a two slices in, she finds a small hair on the plate. Not to mention, she has long hair and the one we found was very short. If any of her fell, we would both know it would be hers. But in this case, it was not long, it was pretty short. I spoke to the manager again and she was nice enough to take off the pizza and my drink off our ticket. The manager did take of us and it was not her fault or the waiters. I just feel that the team their needs to pay attention to their customers more. I find it very appalling that the managers and waiters have to take the blame for the mistake in the back of kitchen. Even though the manager was attentive and concerned, I do not plan on going back to bubba’s until they change the staff in the kitchen. That is just outrageous. To be honest, I never have bad experience with restaurants because I know the waiters are working their hardest. Sometimes they do forget, but it’s not intentional. But for a restaurant that was not so busy to be serving disgusting cups and leaving hair in the food is just completely ridiculous. Never have I ever had such horrible mishaps one after another. I speak from honesty. I am more than understanding with how hard waitresses and waiters work. But the staff in the kitchen needs to change because this is just ridiculous. I do not plan on going back unless something really does change. I can see maybe forgetting a side, drink or sauce, but to really pay attention to dirty cups or hair going into food, the pay attention to details does not seem to pay off at all. Please fix this, some of the waiters and waitresses work hard, but there are few that are not seen of horrible work ethics. But the waiter that I had tonight was good and kind, unlike the one waitress I had a few months back, that needs to change. My concern is mainly on the staff in the kitchen. Please do something to fix their actions.

THISPLACESUCKS. AVOIDEATINGHERE The 33% bacon burger patty is gross. The service is shitty. They take forever with everything. I ordered my Sunshine Burger with no onions and it had onions. Instead of making me a new burger they scraped the onions off and brought me the exact same burger. Not to mention my fried egg was way too fried. Where’s the joy of biting into my burger with a nice hot runny yolk when the whole thing is fried? The red devil margarita is not spicy, but the girl busser’s attitude sure is. After trying to get her attention over the loud tvs and music to ask for some napkins she came over to our table being super snappy to confront us about yelling at her. Sorry, but maybe she shouldn’t have ignored us in the first place. Unless you’re blackout drunk and don’t mind bitchy servers and shitty food stay away from Bubbas.

I’ve been to Bubba’s 33 a handful of times. Each time my experience gets a little worse than the time before. Today’s experience was the final straw, and I won’t be back. We ended up sitting in the bar area, which today was louder than usual. It was so loud our server had a hard time communicating with us. We ended up ordering one beer and 12 wings and fried pickles. It took a while for our beer to arrive and even longer for our food. The hot wings we order we couldn’t finish because they had a smokey flavor. They always have a little smokey flavor, but it was very overwhelming today. Our server did come by and check on us one time after the food arrived, but then she disappeared. We waited for a while to get our ticket, but eventually got so frustrated and decided to walk out(which we never have done before anywhere). Finally we got notice, by the manager as we walked out into the parking lot. Apparently, they are only allowed to give customer service inside the building. We explained that we had experience poor customer service, and her only response was«well you should have asked to see a manager». We explained that we couldn’t because we couldn’t find our server, her response to this was«there are lots servers all around». Not once did she try to set things right or offer a sincere apology. We were told that they would take care of our tab, but would write down our lincense plate number and call the police. At this point I went in to pay the bill, life is too short to deal with bogus drama that doesn’t have to exist after all. I’m very disappointed with Bubba’s 33 and only would recommend them if you don’t mind very slow and crappy service, mediocre beer and food, and an environment that promotes hearing lost.

Don’t go here. Get belligerent, up in my face, in the parking lot guess you finally notice about me not paying the bill when I walk out, ask me to ask for a manager, when I can’t get any service. Threaten me with the cops. Bring the tough guy to mess with me out in the parking lot while waiting on my wife to pay what… Are you all stupid? Serious, just avoid this place, look at my other reviews and find better! Addendum: the wings suck they are smoked.

Don’t get the bacon Patty it’s awful and watch your order because it will probably come out wrong. And when you send it back to get redone it might still come back wrong. And everything is overly salty absolutely everything! Good service is out shined by awful food. Save yourself the trouble and go to Cheddars or Fudruckers. The horny toad is a great drink. That was the only good part about the meal. This was the third time we have been here and the food does not get any better. Have tried the burger, the pizza and the salmon. All were awful. Also tried the nachos and onion rings, also awful.

OMG! This is my favorite pizza ever! I don’t get why this place doesn’t get better ratings! I love this place! My favorite time to go is 2 hours before they close. This is happy hour time to them. I always get their largest meaty meaty pizza and I believe it’s only $ 10! This pizza is perfection! Although toppings is the first thing I enjoy, the crust here is what sells me! It is seasoned nicely and not too thick so the crust is in between a thin and thick crust. It has just slight of a crunch that makes me want to come back for more. The price is what you can’t beat. The last time I went for happy hour they took that option off and only served personal sized pizzas. But I asked our server and she told me they still do it but we just have to ask. Perhaps they were losing money doing that! I wouldn’t blame them for taking it off but Oh my! I hope I will always get that option! Ahh! My favorite pizza of all time! So good I would even go back and pay full price for it! Our servers have always been so sweet to us! They are attentive and we just always have a great time. There are TVs every where! So you never miss out on your sports! Also I knew the restaurant looked like a chain and I looked it up and apparently there are ONLY7 in the nation! We are very lucky to have one in Albuquerque! Bubbas also has a selection of burgers and beers as well! I haven’t tried any burgers yet because the pizza has taken my heart and probably will be keeping it forever! But I’ve got their alcoholic drinks before! Very tasty and sweet! I don’t currently remember them off the top of my head but I will post when I’m in town again! The name had something about trash can perhaps trash can rum? Anyway to wrap it up, Bubbas is my favorite place for pizza! I love going and I have fun every time! Give it a try! Don’t be pushed back by its current 3 star rating because it’s way better than that!!!

Food is good, beer is cold. I’ve been to bubba’s three times, never had to wait even when it looked packed. So far I have zero complaints about service and the 3 or 4 items I’ve tried were good. This place gets a thumbs-up from me.

Great place to get a beer(s) and some good casual food. It’s all basic American fare but they do everything very good. Been here at least 6 times and always been happy w my food order. I have ordered pizza, burgers and chicken sandwiches. They are all delicious. Burgers are hand formed patties, not frozen shaped pucks. Pizza is thin crust and they have a good variety to choose from. The buffalo chicken sandwich was a huge breast and tasted great. The beer selection is nice. Good variety on tap and usually have decent specials going on. It’s always a great place to watch sports as they have a ton of 60″(about) flat screens all over so eat seat has a great view. A great place for some good food abs beers.

I really like coming here because the food is pretty tasty and the TVs are playing pretty much any game that is on. Their burgers have bacon in the patty and it actually tastes wonderful, if a bit greasy. If you go, dipping your fries in ketchup just will not do. I suggest their shotgun sauce or their Bubba’s sauce. Even during really busy times, I am seated pretty quickly. This is definitely a really casual place, so I would put this place as an alternative to B-Dubs any day. I have been here on a number of occasions and have always been met with great service. Now for the bad. During busy times, good luck finding any parking. They need way more parking, especially because Cheddar’s doesn’t have enough spaces either. Second, the bathrooms need some serious bug spray. I have found monster spiders and other unidentifiable insects roaming their bathrooms on more than one occasion. Honestly, I would give them one more star if the bug thing was remedied. I’ve had pizzas and burgers here. Both have been yummy. The appetizers are really the unsung heroes of this place. They come out quickly and are enough to share between 4 people.

Pickle chips + land shark + habanero burger = THEBEST. Great service, so many choices of drinks and a great burger. I could have ordered pizza but I’m saving that for next time. Also great music mix! Instead of fries I substituted a salad and it was also very satisfying. I recommend this for a family outing or even a drink with friends. It has a very nice environment. It’s loud but not to loud, I could hear everyone without yelling which is always really nice. Also, for a Friday night with a huge line to seat, they sat us instantly. It easily looked like 30 minutes wait but wasn’t at all.

Great service and atmosphere, however the the food all tastes the same. The pizza is boring, the wings were good and the burger was over done. I will give it another go soon. Great for groups or large parties, to watch sports, I don’t consider it to be family friendly, but I saw plenty of kids there.

Overall, I like Bubba’s. TVs everywhere, great for groups to come watch a game with the picnic table seating. Also the bar seating is pretty cool since it is an open circle in the middle of the restaurant as opposed to against a wall. The food is edible-ish. «The Shark Bait»(shrimp and calamari) was pretty good. The beef and bean nachos were not good at all. The pizza was alright. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a cool hangout spot for drinks, but not if you’re hungry.

Hmm… Chain food… Let me just say that this is the first time I’ve broke from my anti-chain food state of mind. The food here is good and plentiful and the atmosphere is energetic. I had alway avoided coming here because of the continual long lines that I see every time I pass by but decided to give this place a shot. I will admit that the wait to get in was over 45 minutes for a party of 5 but well worth it. Their menu items are very fair priced and the portions are huge. And did I mention that the food is really good?! I had the sunrise burger that came with a soft egg and bacon on top of my burger and it was to die for. They also have a large draft beer selection that features many craft and local beers as well as your typical flavored waters(bud, coors, bleh…). Overall if you want to feed your family and have a good time on a lower budget this is the place to go.

Great place to watch videos and sports all at the same time. We like to sit in the garage bar. They have the garage doors open and there are even screens that can be put down in the summer to keep out the bugs. The food is chain bar food but it’s good actually. We like it here.

Pros: lively, TV’s everywhere(mostly sports and one showing music videos), seated pretty quickly on a Friday night, friendly server, and reasonable prices. Cons: loud, bland food(ordered the sunshine burger which was not seasoned), and mixed drinks TOO sweet. Overall, I don’t think we will be back. The cons outweighed the pros.

I have been looking all over Albuquerque for the best fried pickles, other than the ones my husband or I make(it’s tedious work lol). We decided to try Bubba’s 33 since Unilocal recommended this place as somewhere that sold fried pickles. I was kind of excited to try them based on another reviewer’s picture. I was hoping that these weren’t the kind that were dipped in a cornbread mixture. When they brought the pickles to the table, I was slightly disappointed that they were slightly corn beaded. However, the pickles are not overly drudged in cornbread like other places. But, after several pickles, they became to salty for me. It must have been the batter that was overly salted.(my search continues.) Enough of the pickle rant. We ordered the bacon burger. Note, all burgers come medium well unless you state otherwise and also«Bubba sauce»(barbecuey taste) is on the burger as well unless you say otherwise. It was very juicy and good but a little salty. I’m not sure if they overly love their salt that they are generous in using it? Overall, ambience is good with TVs all over the restaurant. I, personally, was watching the music video one. Our server was very alert, attentive and checked on us every 5 – 10 minutes, which is great. I would come again if we were by the area.

Amazing food, try the bacon burgers because there is bacon right in the patty itself. Sunshine burger was phenomenal. Fries are great and perfect cross of crunchy and not overdone. Staff was friendly and excellent at refills and greeting us immediately. The bus boy gets special props because I spilled my drink and he was walking pas and rather than let it spill on my dad he grabbed the bussing tray and caught the liquid. So kind and great speed. Love the mix of TV channels and the music is wonderful. Glad there were music videos on the screens since I’m not a sports person. Booths are able to fit a variety if sized people which deserves special commendation. Thanks for that!

Call me a fan! We were looking for a place to eat a decent dinner on a Sunday night and a lot of places were closed by 9pm. I had seen this place and wanted to give it a try. It was still busy at 9pm on a Sunday night. They just opened on December 15th. A distant relative was our server, which made the experience that much better. The service was impeccable, as was the food. From the time we walked in the door, we were treated well. We were even asked if we had been helped yet. If you are into sweet drinks, try a coconut moonshine. This place has some of the coldest beer available, too. The menu features items for every taste. I decided to try the vegetarian pizza, and I added seasoned chicken(for only $ 1, mind you). The pizza was big, and the crust and sauce were homemade. Yum! My hub had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was huge and delicious. We had fried pickles as an appetizer with the«bubba sauce»…think ranch meets BBQ smoky sauce… delish! For two drinks each, an app, and two meals(although the pizza provided me three meals and the sandwich provided the hub 2), it was about $ 50. That’s pretty reasonable if you ask me. The food was good, the staff(all of them, not just the distant relative) were super friendly, and did I mention the TVs? According to our server, Bubba’s put 1 million dollars into the TVs. They are all high quality and the same size… which makes a difference. Check this place out! You’ll be glad you did.
