Friend of mine recommended this place as a staple of Albuquerque and she was RIGHT! Day 1 I had the«Lota» burger with green chilis and a chili cheese dog. The prices are ridiculously good! Be advised, this is a greasy burger place but SOOO much better than than just about anything else I’ve come across like it.(Looking at you In & out burger, which I also love). The green chilis and seasoned fries really make the difference. Day 2&3LETSTALKBREAKFAST! I got the sausage burrito(Christmas style) and added some fries not understanding just how large these things are. THEYAREHUGE! And under $ 4!!! Just do yourself a favor, put your phone done and get to the closest Lotaburger location ASAP!

The service at this location is subpar. I called in my order and was told it would be 5 – 10 minutes. When I paid, the employee took several minutes to come back with my cup of ice and brownie and told me my food was still cooking. After waiting an additional ten minutes, everyone else in line had left with their food. I asked again for my order and the employees seemed confused. Eventually they found my order sitting on a shelf where it had been for the past ten minutes. The cashier said he should have marked my receipt«here» but forgot, shrugged his shoulders, and handed me my cold food. And why doesn’t Blakes have napkins in the restaurant? You have to ask for them like they are a pricey commodity!

I am not eating here but my group wanted this as lunch. Everything looks good and was close to our Old Town shopping today. The usual burger stop if you like.

All the years I’ve been traveling through, around, and over New Mexico, I’ve never stopped in a Blake’s till now. I like hamburgers, in fact its one of my favorite meals. I make it a point to hit Whataburgers, Lot O Burgers, and little mom and pop burger stands when I can. The fries were ok and the burger was fine, Blake’s is no my radar for a burger when the mood strikes me.

Green chile cheeseburger is fantastic! Just a heads up: they put your burger on when you order, so call ahead or settle it.

After the zoo, I decided to drive over here and check out what Blake’s was all about. I had read about them before and noticed that they are pretty much a New Mexico institution. I was excited to try them out! I placed my order for a Lota Burger combo which came with a double green chile cheeseburger, fries and a drink. My total was just over $ 10.00. I went through the drive through and that is my only complaint. It took forever and a day to get my food. I got to the window, paid my money and the lady asked me to pull forward. I waited there a good 10 minutes before my food came out. I understand it is cooked to order, but this still took awhile longer than it should have. After all of that, how was the food? You are soon about to find out… Lota Burger– I got my burger the same way I have gotten all my other ones so far… burger, cheese, chiles and that’s it. This burger was pretty large! I took a bite and was very impressed! The meat was very good… especially for a fast food/chain type place. The green chiles were HOT! I loved it! The cheese was great too. It was melted American and it was so melted, it almost turned into a molten lava cheese sauce. It was great! It may have been the best cheeseburger I have had so far in New Mexico! Fries– They were fresh cut, fried perfectly and sprinkled with some seasoning salt. I ate about half the bag and my wife and son finished off the rest. They were good! Pepsi products to drink. Meh. Overall, I really loved the burger and fries. Service was pretty slow though and that counts for something. Would I come back? Definitely! It was one of the better fast food burgers I have ever had and those green chiles were hot, tasty and excellent overall. I was very happy I came here for lunch!

Nice location off Old Town with plenty of parking to accommodate tourists and nice interior. Somewhat limited many but the burgers were very tasty. Pleasant cashier.

Worst«fast food» service ever! Waited at drive threw for about 15 min, watching all the employees mess around. Wasn’t able to try to the food. I will never go back.

Good burgers, even though I am not a big fast food fan. They are good! Fries are tasty, too. The main draw of Blakes, at least for me, is the breakfast burrito. I have one once a year(it can just about feed you for a year). They have lots of choices and they are HUGE. Seriously, huge. They become lunch and sometimes dinner, as well. I have only been inside a few times, but the one I have gone to was quite clean and the staff was friendly.

Good lunch food. Better than most chains for lunch and close to the hotel. Liked the fries!

One of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my life: a LOTA with cheese, bacon, and green chile sauce! Bun was fresh and soft. Plenty of condiments. I also had the seasoned fries and they were very, very tasty. My wife had a barbecue sandwich and it was almost as good as the hamburger. Blake’s will be on my list of places to hit next time I am in Albuquerque.

Went twice while in town for business. I stayed across the street so this place was convenient. Food was good but not great as so many have expressed. Service was slow. They could really use another cook. Friendly staff.

For a breakfast burrito that could feed a small country this is where you want to go.

Incredible food. Not a huge menu and the food takes longer to prepare than a typical fast food joint. Their seasoned french fries and burgers are to die for. Some of the best fast food I have ever eaten.

Oh glorious green chili cheeseburger. When I wake up in a pool of drool on my pillow, I know I have been dreaming about you because there is nothing else like you in the world…

AMAZING. CLASSIC. OLDSCHOOL. There is no true way to describe the grandeur of one of the«Old School» Blakes locations. Therefore, next time you are out driving and see a large albino man resembling the iconic image of «Uncle Sam» holding a BLAKE’s LOTABURGER sign and you think to yourself, «Should I…» The answer is YES, a very definitive YES. Immediately swerve out from that inner lane and across freeway to make that exit so that you too can enjoy this classic treat. Besides, if your eating at Blakes, then your prob in NM which means there was probably a checkpoint ahead that you just missed by stopping. I rest my case.

Obviously an albuquerque institution. not all of them have the«old school» flavor. this one does. chili dogs that are out of this world. service that borders on great, dig it or dont. Being 7minutes from my house helps.
