There is a little bit of a wait for your order but they got it right. Calling in your order in advance is highly recommended. Sausage burrito with green sauce is the bomb. I always order my green sauce on the side to avoid a soggy burrito. I overheard another person ordering a burrito with«crispy hash browns» in their burrito; maybe I’ll try it next time. They have ample parking lot space and lots of empty chairs and tables if you wanna dine in but I always order to-go. Employees are friendly.

Service was friendly and store was clean. No super loud music and I especially love that they have the calorie count on the menu. Had the green chili burger and onion rings. One of my favorites.

This is a very slow Blake’s Lotaburger! Don’t expect fast service here. I noticed they call in orders and I can see why. I wanted 20 minutes for 2 tacos. How many times can the punk ass kid manager say the word«sir».

What has happened to this location?! I always used to frequent this location because their service and food quality was amazing. The burgers were always cooked to perfection and the staff was always courteous and welcoming. Notice that I use past tense here. Fast forward to a two weeks ago. Got lazy and decided to eat out for dinner. Made a special trip to this side of town(I live on the westside) just because I enjoy the quality of their location. First off I go in and there is a pissed off customer waiting for his food that is holding up the line. He waits about 5 mins and then gets frustrated and asks for a refund. The new manager at this location comes out and starts giving this man attitude but issues a refund(red flag #1). We order and the genius at the counter charges me 27 odd dollars for a meal that usually costs 20. I have him review it and he has it all wrong. It takes 3 tries to fix this. Then the food comes and it is missing one of the kid’s meals. It takes another 15 minutes for them to make it. Now as for the food… Burgers and fries were both overcooked and dry and the green chile I ordered was not there. So instead of complaining I just dealt with it. Then if this wasn’t enough, the manager decides to go outside to dispose of trash bags that were thrown all over the parking lot. He then returns back inside having an argument with what I assume was his land lord on the phone. «Ken! How could you do me like this Ken?! I told ya I don’t have the money right now Ken! Work with me! Etc etc etc» really annoying. By this point I just wanted to get out of there and threw away the rest of my food. It appeared to me that the staff was high or something because they all had a glazed over look in their eyes. So fast forward to when I got home. I decided to inform their corporate customer service of this blunder. Wrote them an email explaining my patronage and how this experience had ruined my like for this location. I am still waiting for a response… From what I read elsewhere it appears that they really don’t give a hoot and never make an attempt to make things right for customers. Will not be back here ever and I am considering boycotting blakes all together if I don’t get a response. Don’t these people understand what life time customer value is?! Obviously not I wish there was a negative star rating.

WHATTHEHECKISWRONGWITHTHISLOCATION??? I love Blake’s. I CRAVEBLAKES. I am alive, of course I dream of Blake’s. But this location is a nightmare. And not just once, but over and over again for the last two years everytime I give it another shot, I question my motives for eating here. I know that I will be disappointed and frustrated. I know I will wait no less than 20 minutes for my food. Doesn’t matter what I order, it will take forever. I even started calling in my order. Yeah, that seemed to make it worse. If I have the time, a Lota combo with cheese and green chile is well worth waiting 20 minutes… when it is made correctly. This location almost always forget my fries, and they never drain the chile, so my bun is always a soggy mess. Fries are cold and I am buggered. I figure I’ll just stick with a bean and cheese burrito ad they are pretty delicious here. My love gets a bacon burrito. Of course we wait, and wait, and wait. We get home and… my bean burrito is a third of the size it normally is… WHY??? WHYDIDWECOMEHEREAGAIN. I continue to love Blake’s and try to convince myself that this location is actually some other crappy burger joint that is trying to pass itself off as Blake’s. if you love waiting in your car for 24 minutes for a breakfast burrito then this is your joint!!! i went through drive thru on 1−24−15 on a saturday morning approximately 9:45 am. i ordered a #1 breakfast burrito with orange juice. when i pulled into the drive thru there were 3 cars in front of me. so i thought i would be waiting 5 – 10 minutes. i actually set my cell phone stop watch and i waited 24 minutes! kinda crazy. i waited in line only because i haven’t had a blake’s breakfast burrito in years. so i rode out the wait. before i go back to this location i will probably try a different location in the future.

They will sell the stale, sitting-around burgers, fries and whatever thru the drive-up window to get rid of their inventory to the customers who won’t know until they drive off to their destination and discover the crappy food awaiting them! They lost me as a customer pulling this economic way of saving a buck rather than trashing the trash!

OK, so this particular Blake’s gets knocked down a star because it takes FOREVER to get your food here. I would like to come to this location more often, as it is convenient to my office, but every morning when I pull in to get a burrito it takes well over 10 minutes to receive my order. This is even when there is only one person in front of me. I can’t for the life of me figure out how it can take them 10 minutes to make a burrito. Heaven forbid that there be other people in line at the drive thru, they’ll have you pull over to the side while they shuffle out orders to the other waiting vehicles every couple minutes. Don’t get me wrong, the food it still delicious, but this location will make you wait for it.

I normally drive by this Blakes because it is on the way home from church on Sunday mornings. I don’t know why I keep giving them chance after chance. They always seem to be a let down. Numerous cars still waiting for food. So much for fast food. Very disappointing. I would have called ahead but that would mean they would have to answer the phone. Update just went into get a refund because I’ve been waiting 20 minutes for two breakfast burritos. Of course when I walked up they told me my burritos were coming right up now. If I wasn’t so hangry I would ask to speak to a manager. We could’ve made breakfast burritos at home for as long as it took and they would’ve been twice as good

First let me start by stating that I love Blakes just as much as any other New Mexican. My reason for a 1 star is that I waited in the drive thru for nearly 50 minutes. Those of us who frequent Blakes know and have probably come accustomed to long wait times. That’s OK when the food is being cooked to order. So, this past Sunday I pull into the line, 6 or 7 cars in front of me. No biggie. As nearly 10 minutes pass without moving I’m starting to get a bit perturbed but I think to myself«they probably had a big order and surely will be caught up soon.» Mind you I’m only 2 cars away from placing my order. 10+ more minutes and I finally order 2 #5’s with green. At this point it’s too late to back out so I stick it out. As the temperature is climbing outside so is my cars from prolonged use of my ac without movement. Another 10 minutes pass and I finally get to the window to pay for said burritos, the lady in window greets me with a smile and relays my price, as I give her the funds I ask her if she was aware that it has taken over 35 minutes to get here? As she gets my change, hands it over and starts to close the window. So, I ask her if she heard me which she stated yes and closed the window anyway. Walks away from sight and disappears for a few more minutes then reappears out the side door with bag in hand for the vehicle that was told to pull ahead, nonchalantly strolling without a gram of haste in her step hands the food over and continues back on her leisurely Sunday stroll. Again, I’m still waiting… pissed off beyond belief of what I have just succumbed to for a breakfast burrito. Finally, I get my bag and am told to have a nice day. So before leaving I check my food and it is slopped together, almost all beans and very little of anything else(other than the purée of beans and green sauce practically covering the outside of my tortilla)! Pissed still? I think not… infuriated at this point. I Park my vehicle, go inside and show the poor kid who probably had nothing to do with this disaster. And I mean nothing since he was just standing there doing nothing as customers are still being held hostage in their cars waiting relentlessly for what I can only hope is a much better constructed burrito than I had just received. This hicky covered adolescent then gets casual Sunday stroller who asks what’s wrong, I show her my burritos and ask if this is the quality you serve and especially after 45 minutes to do so. As another manager approaches, apology already spewing from her lips asks if I would like them to be remade. As sarcastic and pissed off as I’ve ever been I respond with a «you had 45 minutes to get it right the first time, just give me my $#! ¥₩*# money back. Lastly I’m going to say that everyone in that restaurant didn’t give a hoot about 45 minute ticket times with the exception of one individual. I used to frequent this location 2 to 3 times a week. I will never go back again. Thank you Veronica and the staff that you had with you Sunday June 22 from about 10:05 am till 10:52 when I got my money back. With no food! I have never been more pissed at or with an establishment like I was. It’s a drive thru people, at breakfast time, eggs and potatoes are not that difficult. Btw, I will be stopping by the corporate office as well to voice my opinion as well and I will be hoping that someone will be getting their papers!

Best breakfast burritos in town, and I’ve tried them all. They are very busy in the mornings, especially weekends, so give yourself some extra time. The staff is very friendly, but they do make mistakes when they get real busy, so double check your order. The burgers/fries are really good too, especially with green chile.

True to New Mexicans — Blake’s Lotaburger [ .com] has one of the best green chile cheese burgers in the state. When I crave a hot burger, I go to Blake’s because I know they consistently serve good, good green chile. I am able to eat an ISTA combo by myself during one sit-down without needing to take leftovers home or throw anything away after my visit. When I am very hungry, I will order the LOTA combo, and the ITSA is exactly like the LOTA, but the LOTA is bigger. They also give you the options to add green chile, cheese, and bacon among other things. I appreciate how the Lotaburgers are burgers(and not cheeseburgers) since some fast food businesses default their featured burgers to have cheese automatically with the burger. Some days I do not want a cheeseburger. If you are like me, rest assure that the Lotaburger is a great burger. I hear about former New Mexicans living in other states [even as close as Arizona] that they miss and crave Lotaburgers. For that reason may we never take this place for granted… ever. The featured shakes are a good sweet treat. The shakes come in one size, so if you do not want to share, tell your people that you are going to have the shake all by yourself. I’m not sure how long the current black raspberry shake will be offered. I need to find out up until what date they will feature it and make sure to stop in every other week to have one until the next flavor is offered. Of course the shakes are not refillable, but the fountain drinks and tea are. This is good because back in the day Lotaburger did not offer refills. Many Lotaburger restaurants that I am visiting have upgraded their dining areas as well as their restrooms. Fancy! I like it. Thank you for upgrading your restaurants because they make a huge difference. I like the tile and the booths. I look forward to my next visit to Blake’s.

I love the fries here, they are fresh, crispy and seasoned just right. Growing up in new Mexico, I was always fond of Lotaburger, and since my father loved their chili beans, we would stop at Lotaburger once or twice a month. The seasoning they use on their burgers haven’t changed, so memories still haunt me in a bun-ful kind of way. This Lotaburger is located near the Academy Post Office, so mailing a letter with the aroma of burgers in the background can make one want to mail burgers across the world, so they don’t miss out on New Mexico’s burger franchise. Try it with green Chile, grab a Pepsi and enjoy yourself, because they make it when you order it, unlike other places where they give whichever rotation is up for grabs.

Mrs. B grew up in ABQ so Blake’s was one of the places we had to go to when we visited there. Being from NC the whole green chile on everything was a little foreign to me. Burritos, etc. with it I get, but a burger? After visiting Blake’s and getting a Lotaburger with cheese and green chile, though, I get it. That was a great burger! I got onion rings with my combo and they were very good as well. Crispy and thin cut so it was easy to bite through without getting left with a fried tube containing no onion. I’d pine for having one of these out east, but I like having a destination burger place to go to out west(in addition to In-n-Out).

*4 star fast food category. Blake’s is a pretty solid local burger chain. I would go to Blake’s over: –McDonald’s –Wendy’s –Arby’s –Taco Bell –Burger King –etc. The service here was very good if a little persistent. The young man that waited on us began telling me about the breakfast burrito’s(I did ask but it was a general question, not looking for a treatise). I learned about how they are made, what you can get in them, how filling they are, how fresh they are, what his father had to say the first time he tried one, how full his father was after eating one… I was walking away from the counter and talking to a coworker and he was still going.

One of the stops I’m sure to make when I’m in ABQ. I think they make the best burgers in the state. Chicken sandwiches are also great, although you usually have to wait a bit for them. Corn dogs are corn dogs. Employees wear hairnets which is a plus.
