Baillio’s Electronics & Appliance Connection

I had always had good experience with Baillos in the past, so when it came time to replace my appliances last year, I went to them. I bought the super duper warranty, which guarantees full replacement if an item cannot be repaired
Well 10 months later, I am getting the complete run around on getting my item fixed or replaced. They have sent out a repairman but he didn’t do anything and I still don’t have a functional appliance… with a baby at home who needs it working. Instead they want to charge me nearly 300 dollars and wait another extended period of time to have it fixed.
Livid does not even begin to cover it.

So I have had to update my review — such a sad day given my previous positive experience with Baillio’s. So, from what I was told by a Baillio’s repairman Baillio’s has been sold to some other company. I would expect this is the reason why Baillio’s has taken a down turn.
The dishwasher I bought from Baillio’s several years ago has needed a repair. Called them up. It took several times to actually get someone on the phone. We would leave messages — NEVER got a call back. Took several days to get a hold of someone in their «repair» department. We even called their main number and spoke to someone in their sales department to try to see if we could get a hold of someone to, you know, actually help us, — they were rude and were told «just keep calling back».
Once getting through to service after several days, we were put on their schedule. Great. Guy comes out, finds the problem and tells us what needs to happen and we needed a new part. Great. (FYI, the repairman was great. On time, professional, and explained things perfectly)
Parts ordered. We got a message saying they were in and we needed to call back to schedule. Great. We call back. The woman on the other end was like… well maybe your parts aren’t in after all. I have to go check and call you back. It was the same woman who left me a message not even 10 minutes before.
So, parts in, repair scheduled. Same repairman comes out. They ordered the wrong part/​incomplete parts. So I still don’t have a working dishwasher after 2 weeks
After several days of not hearing anything after the wrong part repair, we call to find the status. Well, my husband calls and leaves a message with his phone number, several times trying to find out status. They keep calling me back even though he leaves his number. So they call me and state «you left a message how can I help you» Well I didn’t leave a message, I’m not sure exactly what my husband said in his message, so I explain what I think and the guy starts talking over me several times and gets a bit huffy because «he already spoke to my husband» about the issue.
It appears that no one is talking to anyone, Not taking appropriate notes in «their system» so other representatives can read what has gone on already, and hiring the cheapest labor available who no nothing about appliance repair and don’t even know their «system» to actually help customers and keep them abreast of the status of their open tickets. It has turned Baillio’s into a company I am unlikely to buy from again because their customer service and repairs department has gone completely downhill.
Again this is not a critique of the repair man who has come to our house (he has been great) it is a critique of the entire back end of the process).

UPDATE: Spoke with husband. Apparently he was told not even 5 minutes before I spoke with a gentleman from Baillio’s and he was told the parts had been in for several days and we never got a call to schedule service and that we needed to schedule service with the service department. Pretty much when I was on the phone with Baillio’s (from their phone call to me from a message I never left) a woman from Baillios called husband and stated that we were already scheduled for service and she wasn’t sure why she was getting a message and was trying to get clarification.
Truly chaos on their end with no organization or forethought. Two stars now one.

Just bought an entire home theater system (large screen TV, six speakers, and receiver).
Chris from sales was extremely knowledgable and patient. He worked w/​in our budget ($ 4,500) and the cost was equal to the best prices on the internet.
Jodi came in a few days and spent hours installing the whole system (TV setting, speaker wiring & placement, programming remote). He was awesome. No excuses, no complaints, the entire process was positive, and he even took away our old, behemoth projection TV. Highly recommended.

I only rarely write reviews (16) and all but 1 or 2 have been almost entirely positive. Our experience with Baillios began four years ago when we bought all the appliances and a wide screen TV for the home we were building in Santa Fe. Great sales staff, no problems with appliance delivery. All good. Until the oven went out 2 ½ months ago and since then we experienced some of the most unresponsive, inept lack of service from Baillios’ «Service» Department I have ever experienced. I will spare you the details that were spelled out in a far more detailed review. But the own Jack Jr., saw that review and intervened. The stove could not be repaired despite several efforts by Baillios and so Jack agreed to refund all that we had paid for these efforts and helped arrange for us to purchase a new stove at cost from GE. He also shared that he had been aware of and working on the administrative component of the service department. In any case, it is always good to work with local businesses, especially when their leadership care enough about customer satisfaction that they respond to customer concerns. Good job, Baillios.

I have given Baillio’s my last $ 19.88! EVER! 20 years of trying to give them my TV and major appliance sales some good some pushy sales people selling an inferior product for a commission!
My last purchase was a 47″ Toshiba TV with some bells and whistles for $ 999, including 3D? I also bought a 5 yr warrantee on purchase date of 3÷25÷2013 for $ 260. Well the TV went out after less than 3 yrs. My warrantee was partially honored. Johnny Baillio offered me a $ 650 credit or this one $ 700 TV his pick! I decided to downsize and get more TV’s in my reduced warrantee value! Should have read the fine print: If Baillio’s determines your product can not be repaired, or is not economically feasible to repair, an equal or like product will be provided as a replacement. Technology advances may result in a replacement product with a lower selling price than the original product or a gift card equal to the current market value. DETERMINED BY US! Yep$ 650 was fair to them on a $ 1,250 TV and warrantee! Then, after my warrantee wasn’t followed to the offer. Johnny still charged me the $ 19.88 difference in the poor cash value replacement! Lost me this time!

I usually reserve reviews for exceptionally good experiences, but I just had such a bad experience at Baillos that I guess I feel the need to share it. The clerk was very rude and, as a person with a disability who was having trouble moving today, treated me as a second class citizen by making me walk across the store to get a filter and then making the transaction take as long as possible so I needed to stand there. If you’ve never had an injury and intense pain in your legs, this won’t resonate with you, and, like the clerk, perhaps you’ll think someone like me is lazy. I assure you it takes so much energy to run these errands you wouldn’t believe it if you’ve never dealt with long-​term chronic pain. We’ll find another source for our electronics, filters, appliances, etc. It’s a shame because we like to buy local.
UPDATE: Thanks for the response. I’m glad to know you care in theory – we’ll reconsider if you can train your public-​facing staff to learn to act inclusively and kindly. Your response does mean a lot, though. Appreciate it.

They’re not quite what I was looking for, but for what they are, they’re pretty good — if you’re looking for TVs, sound systems, and other major appliances, they’ve got a huge selection, and what looked to me to be very competitive prices. Knowledgable, helpful staff, and a wide array of floor models on display. The TVs aren’t all up against one wall — these are displays with stands and seats, so you can see what it’s like to sit down in front of a specific model.
I was hoping for something more like Fry’s or Micro Center, with aisles of computer toys — and they’re not it. They’ve got some models, and a reasonable selection of accessories — but Best Buy has better selection, if nothing else.

Outstanding customer service! I didn’t want to come here at first because it looked ghetto on the outside, but we thought we would check them out. James was great. And they had the best prices in town. My husband and I will definitely always shop here for electronics.

My fiancé and I recently moved into our first home. We bought our washer, dryer, microwave, and had our TV mounted by Baillios. We are very happy with everything we bought and the deliveries were timely, professional, and easy. Martin in the service department took good care of us and helped us get small purchases done. Willie and his team were so personable when they came to install our TV. Would recommend to anyone.

For the 3^rd year in a row I have shopped at Baillo’s for a big high school event we have in our small AZ town. Bryn was amazing! He helped me spend $ 2000 to get the best toys for the least amount of money. He was not rushed, gave me good advice, and he and the store manager, Todd, helped me carry everything to the car. I had Bryn’s undivided, unhurried attention for 1.5 hours. I will be back next year to buy for this event!

Had a TV break down and needed ‘emergency’ options for Thanksgiving and the prices at Baillio’s were comparable to Costco and Amazon (I know I was surprised too). A brand new telly immediately at a good price from a local vender? Can’t beat that.

I was greeted upon entry. Although I was just looking, the employees made sure I was taken care of. They have everything you need for your place… tvs, appliances, washers and dryers, and even mattresses. The best part was watching the demonstration of how the dishwasher worked. You could see how the water spreads in the machine. I watched it for a good 10 minutes.

DO NOT BUY SERVICE PLAN! I’m really surprised they are still in business. A few years ago I succumbed to the high pressure sales and purchased a service plan with my front loading washer and dryer. The drawer where you put the detergent in the washer has a plastic clip to close it and it broke. I called in service on a Saturday and told them what exactly it was and asked them to order the part. I was told they needed to send service first so I asked to speak to the service manager to see if we could expedite the process. I left the manager a voicemail — NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. I received a call on Tuesday about 4pm stating service would be there in the morning. The service guy showed and said, «this is a common problem. We usually have these in stock. Someone will call you today.» No one called. A week later with no washer I call them. I was told a part needed to be ordered and we would have service on Monday (now we are two weeks in). I asked to speak the the GM and once again NO ONE RETURNED MY CALL. Then, oops we got the wrong part. We’ll see you Friday. A ten minute fix took almost three weeks. I would love to support local business but Best Buy has given me much better service and someone will call you back. Baillios is low rent and unprofessional.

Competitive prices, but best of all was the service. If it hadn’t been for Gabe I would have been so in over my head. I walked out with only what I needed nothing more. What was really nice was he pointed out equipment that was an upgrade, yet a better price than I had planned on spending. They know their product line inside and out, the accessories that work well with that line. Best of all I feel like I got a good deal.

This is a great local business to support.
Somehow, this local business is able have comparable prices like the massive chain stores. I have purchased several appliances from them, and a few televisions. I always leave feeling like I received a good deal.
I used the west side location recently because it is closer to my house. There is a good selection of merchandise and the staff has a good working knowledge of all the products.
They also offer an extended protection plan (for a fee) that protects the products for several addition years.
If you need large appliances or a new TV, I recommend Baillios Electronics.

ok here I am using my new I MAC I purchased at Baillio’s. I went to the MAC store and was totally pissed off do to the lack of SERVICE and the missing EXPERIENCE. Apple use to offer the EXPERIENCE of buying, like going a fine store. I have to tell you Patrick at Baillio’s on Menual brought back the EXPERIENCE of shopping, I walked out of the Apple store went to Baillio’s and spent $ 2000.00 on new equiptment! I will do it again and by pass the Apple store

Went to the Santa Fe store. Very, very unhelpful staff. Went to Best Buy. They said they get many negative comments from Baillios customers. Apple pulled their license to sell Apple products. Chain will probably go the way of Circuit City. Too bad. This economy needs jobs.

If they have what you need then it is unlikely anyone else in town has it for a better price.
I have purchased tons of appliances for rental properties here. Although they have made their scratch & dent section a lot smaller, they still have some great deals in this category.
My most recent purchase was an ipod component for my car stereo. The install team did an amazing job and when the unit started to act up they went back in right away and fixed the problem. When I came in a 2^nd time with a problem they pulled the unit and put in a new one all without breaking a sweat on my part.
It may be gossip but I think they recently sold the family business to a larger corporation. If so I hope things (prices especially) don’t change too much!
