Aloof service contributed to extremely disappointing meal. After being told my fish entrée would be bone free, it was full of bones(big ones). Brought it to the manager’s attention, and he acted as if he were way too cool to work here, let alone placate me. Overall, food was pedestrian, and service was sub-par. They are moving to a bigger, nicer place in a month. I can only hope they realize they are in business to please customers, not make them feel as intruders.

I have been to Ambrozia once and based on that experience would not return. We had a reservation, but still were made to wait over thirty minutes for our table. Once we were seated, it was at the most awkwardly placed two-top in the room. I ordered the NY steak which arrived overdone. My companion had the duck which was dry and flavorless. The Caprese soup was unimpressive and the mixed greens salad was nothing special. The server was absent throughout the meal; we were never offered more wine and dessert was mentioned as an afterthought. I was disappointed because Ambrozia had been recommended and I was looking forward to a tasty meal. I would rather have given the $ 100-plus bucks to a good charity.
