Albuquerque Baths

Just had a massage and body scrub; it was awesome. Kalena is a great masseuse; I wish I could take her back to Ohio with me. The environment was very soothing and cozy. The staff that checked me in/​out were very friendly. I will definitely make this one of my stops the next time I am in Albuquerque.

It’s clean, relaxing and in-​town so those are plus points. I have been here two times. I would say that my massages were ok, but not anything amazing. And when you are paying $ 80 or $ 90 for a massage, (or even $ 70) it better be fantastic. The second one I remember my therapist being kind of reluctant. I was really wanting a deep tissue or sports massage and this was definitely not that, although I did request that. The therapist kept asking, «Is this ok?» «How about this, is this ok?» And she kept asking, «how is the pressure here» and that is just annoying. Some people might prefer to be constantly checked in with, but I’m not one of those people so hence my rating. I just want to darn-​near fall asleep and be in a dreamy daze or have one of those hurt-​so-​good kind of rub downs.

Clean, peaceful, nice hot tub area, and a great massage! We scheduled massages for the day after Christmas and the place was empty. Easy to get appointments. From the first phone call to paying after the massages, I felt like they really appreciate their customers! Refreshing!

If you like coed soaking, while wearing a swimsuit and listening to relatively good music (for a spa), this is the place for you!
Only the chillest breed of human works the front desk here handing out robes, locker keys and sandals. I recommend bringing your own sandals, though. Weirdly, all spas seem to buy the same terrible plastic sandals.
Never the less, my husband and I love relaxing in the outdoor hot tub at Albuquerque Baths. The robe, locker key, sandals, towels, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all come with the soak price. With a punch card you get a little discount. When you are looking for a healthy way to relax, check in at this spa.

Had great hopes for this place after reading all the glowing reviews here. Unfortunately was disappointed that the massage didn’t go deeper, even when I requested so. The friend I went with experienced the same thing with her massage. The hot oil scalp massage was not enjoyable, either. While the facility is clean and well-​managed, the services left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend going here to anyone.

Clean facilities, excellent service, and a gorgeous outdoor space make this a gem! Bring something to read because you will now want to leave.

I love the baths. It’s never super busy here and the atmosphere is amazing. I always find the peace I am looking for. A place of sanctuary for a few hours of girl time with mi amigas. I’ll be back. Again and again.

Best Little Bath House in town! Clean, peaceful, relaxing and well run. Absolutely no pretention or snobbery. The garden area around the hot tub is well kept and attractive. I loved the fact that there was a real cold plunge. While I was there I inquired about a massage and they arranged one for me quickly and easily. My therapist Kalina listened to what my needs were and delivered. That is rare; often massage therapists deliver only a standard routine that they have learned. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and happy about finding this place!

This place is SO relaxing! Quiet, not crowded, excellent massage/​scrubs. Usually only in ABQ on business from Houston. I try to squeeze in a couple hours here to relax. Highly recommend!

This place has become my favorite getaway in the past year. Everything and everyone is so welcoming and the environment is so calming. After a busy work week, relaxing in the baths and sauna alone is amazing.
My favorite part about this place though is their massage therapist Erica. I’m very particular when it comes to deep tissue massages and the various techniques different therapists use. After battling some ongoing health issues and unable to find any relief, Erica was the only person I’ve found that could help me through the unbearable pain I was having in my shoulders and neck. The worst part of what I was experiencing was that I would need to get in for a massage very last minute, when I knew I was about to get a migraine. The flexibility and kindness of the reception staff is what made that possible. I’m so grateful how much they were able to help me.
Best of all, they don’t have crazy prices. Perhaps it’s because they keep the place basic and not over the top, but I honestly appreciate the rustic, simple feel.

Part of me doesn’t want to write this review, because at the moment the Albuquerque Baths is a quiet oasis and I don’t want to share it with anyone. But I want them to stay in business and they can’t do that with just my admission, although I plan to be there as often as possible. So here goes — I’m letting the secret out. I loved every part of this experience. From the welcome at the front desk, to the «here is the tea, just help yourself and we’ll settle up later», to the fragrant soaps and shampoo in the shower, to the complimentary robe and towels and sandals … let’s just say everything. It isn’t a huge facility. They only have four massage rooms, and the patio with the hot tub, cold pool, and cold shower isn’t bigger than a backyard. But every bit of it is perfect. I loved the dark blue tiles in the pool, and the plants next to it that made me feel like I was sitting in a natural hot springs. I loved the architecture of the building with its wood beams and stone tiles. The lounge chairs were just right, and there was plenty of shade for my pale skin, and plenty of sun for those who like to lizard out.
The prices are reasonable — I won’t list them because you can find them easy enough on line. After your soak, if you need a nosh or a drink, Marble Brewery is about 3 blocks away, and many other choices are close by. We went to Firenze Pizzeria, for example.
I hope you enjoy this gem as much as I have, but don’t tell too many people — save it for your besties and keep it special.

This is a hidden gem, and very easy to drive past, which I did the first two passes. I wish the signage is a little more obvious from the road. I have been twice so far, and it is a great place to decompress and detoxify. They have a clean and modern sauna that gets as hot as hades. The outdoor hot tub is tiled and the jets are strong. For the matter of strength this is not one of the wimpy just warm hot tubs. They also have an outdoor cold shower, for those sports illustrated swimsuit moments. These are not hot springs, but the levels of chemicals in the tub are not overly aggressive. They do ask you shower thoroughly before partaking.
For the price of admission you get a locker, bathrobe, and sandals. The products in the shower are high quality and of natural materials. The last time I went I had a half hour massage as well, which was long overdue. They do couples massages as well. I would recommend booking an appointment and coming an hour plus early to soak sauna and clean up before your appointment. Your muscles will already be like jell-​o and primed for release.

What a nice surprise in the midst of industrial area. I have driven by it countless times and it was still a little hard to find as the sign faces the side street. A lovely place — we were greeted by the nicest person (Meredith) that seemed so proud of the facility (as she should be). It is really a hidden gem. The two pools/​tubs, one hot, one cold — are spotless. The garden is beautifully landscaped, soft music plays in the background. It was very quiet, few folks there on a Tuesday after work. Really such a nice respite after a harried day at work. Robes and slippers are provided if desired, showers have shampoo, conditioner, shower gel at the ready. If I had to find a complaint, it would be that the garden seems to be hosting the entire population of bees in Albuquerque (is there a hive nearby? — there could be) but they were harmless, much more interested in the flowers. I thought $ 15 for 2 hours was a great value and I left feeling relaxed and happy. I will be back.

My girlfriends and I made a visit the Saturday before Mother’s Day to relax a little bit. The weather was perfect to soak in the hot tub and sun bathe. We got there early enough that we practically had the place to ourselves. My friend was even able to book a last minute massage. The staff was friendly and we really enjoyed our time. We will definitely be back.

My girlfriend and I went to to Albuquerque baths to lay out and relax under the sun. The place is small, but very clean and nicely decorated. My girlfriend got a 30 min massage that was definitely worth the money. The prices were fair and I have no complaints. This was my first time here and I’m definitely coming back!

Heh amazing place.
You won’t get more amazing in Metro-​ABQ. I mean, baths. You don’t have to drive up to Santa Fe to 10k Waves anymore. I mean, it’s completely different and not the LARGEST place and doesn’t have it’s own lotions and such… but this is Metropolitan Albuquerque. It’s the best you can get around here.

Albuquerque baths is a great place to kick-​back and relax. The place is sort of an industrial-​urban oasis: tucked between warehouses on Broadway, you’d never expect such a calm, relaxing place is behind their walls.
The massage staff here are great; I’ve been for a few massages and am never disappointed. Being able to duck out to the tubs (hot and cold) and enjoy the sauna after make this place a great getaway.
Not much more to say about this place than my wife and I always ask ourselves why we don’t go more often every time we’re there. Definitely worth checking out.

My husband and I love to soak in natural hot springs. Since the closest ones are a day trip away we like to soak at Abq Baths about once a month. Its a really beautiful setup with a gorgeous garden. It is nicely maintained. (I am actually suprised that it is never busy when we go. I hope the business is doing well.)
My only complaint is that the last time we went there were quite a few ants… everywhere. I couldn’t really lean against the edge of the pool because I was worried they could climb on me. eek! I hope they get this fixed or we might check into some other spots for next time.

Found this little bathhouse by accident and WOW what a treat! I called to get a massage and 2 hours later I was on Anna’s table! The hot tube was delightful as was the sauna! Super clean & phenomenal pricing. You don’t have to have anything as the facility will provide a robe, towels, water, flip flops, a locking locker, AND even a swimsuit! I’m only visiting but will go back another time before leaving the Duke City!

I am a spa junkie. I love going to spend a couple hours away from the stress of everyday life. It’s become something I enjoy doing as often as I can possibly afford. I’ve heard about Albuquerque Baths from friends and coworkers. They all rave about their experiences here, but it hasn’t been on my list of places to try.
My boyfriend and I decided that we needed to have a little «us» time. We made two appointments for deep tissue massages and were told to come in as early as we want because with the purchase of a massage you have access to the baths and sauna. We showed up, got some robes, towels, and sandals and headed out to start our relaxation process. The tub is super warm and lovely, but my favorite part is the patio where it’s located. The whole décor and architecture of this place is beautiful and relaxing. They have chairs, lounge chairs, and tables to sit at while you enjoy the beautiful patio before/​after your treatment. We enjoyed the tub and then sat in some rocking chairs to soak up some sun on a beautiful day. It was fabulous. I also found out that they have a woman’s day on Wednesday’s between 10 – 3 women can enjoy some «men free time» in the baths and go tubbin’ naked! Doesn’t get much better than some lady time with your friends.
I got a deep tissue massage with David. For those of you who have always opted for a regular relaxing massage I urge you to try a deep tissue. My body tensed like a freshly salted slug as David rubbed his fingers along my neck and back (my problem areas) like a microwave trying to pop every kernel. He didn’t skimp on my non-​problem areas like I’ve experienced in other massages. He spent time went slow fought out all of my knots. I felt great after my massage and will definitely be a repeat offender of Davids.
Some tips to enjoy your experience better:
1. Show up a little early and make use of their tub.
2. If you need the bathroom do it before your treatment. No one likes having to clench or thinking about holding it during their treatment. It will ruin the experience for you.
3. If it’s your first time at a spa or a massage bring a friend! It’ll help ease the awkwardness if you know your friend is going through the same thing.
4. Dress down to WHATEVER feels comfortable. If it’s your first time and you don’t feel comfortable being in the nude then don’t. However, know that some clothes will get in the way of your treatment and they’ll have to push em out of the way anyways. Also, your therapist will not look at your privates or make a move on you. They are about to get more personal than most of your friends, family, or lovers have ever been. At least you can leave and never see them again since they’ll probably know about every scar, roll, or stretch mark you have. It’s okay though.
5. Drink lots of water after! This’ll help flush all of the toxins that have been released from your massage.
6. Have fun! This is you time. Enjoy the quiet, turn off your phone, and have a nice time!
