Alameda West Storage

Great clean facility. James was great and beat U-​Hauls rate. My storage unit was nice and I will be returning in a few months when we start phase 2 of our home remodel.

I was quite frustrated with my experience at this business.
My fiancée and I rented a 26′ Penske truck from Alameda West Storage last Friday to move. We picked up the truck in the evening and took it home to begin loading. About 30 minutes into the trip we realized that the truck was not in good running condition but they were closed and it was too late to get ahold of anyone for a replacement vehicle. Throughout the evening while loading the truck, it died/​broke-​down every 10 minutes. This caused a huge delay in our move.
Saturday afternoon when returning the truck, considerably late due to all of the mechanical issues, I explained to the manager (James) the issues we experienced, his response was «it is not my problem, I only rent the trucks». When I requested to speak to his supervisor, he insisted that he does not have a supervisor and there was nothing he would be able to do to address our concerns.
I would advise to never rent a truck from this company!

Great location but was disappointed while my property was in storage there. First, the unit leaked all over my boxes. Second it is infested with roaches. I did not store food in the unit and do not have roaches at my home. Would not recommend this business and I have recommended to them they need an exterminator.
