Man, I love those poetic twists of real life fate, don’t you? When some completely random connection from your past resurfaces in your contemporary world and plays a new role, you know what I mean? Okay, so this isn’t always a good thing.(I can think of a few ex’s that I really don’t want to see ever, ever again.) I met Adam Durant in college. He was a talented actor and creative type, and all around good guy. And when I graduated, I managed to grab a beer with him one night. We were both heading out into the great unknown without a f#cking clue as to what we would do with our theatre degrees. We didn’t come up with a plan, but we tried to laugh about the uncertainty of the whole thing. More than a decade later, I ran into Adam again, this time on Facebook. He had posted something about being a photographer, and as it happened, I was looking for one. I asked him to shoot one of my events, and when I got the results of his work, I was absolutely astonished. The guy had that intangible I was looking for: the ability to capture a moment, a mood, a vibe, something in the air, with an image. I immediately hired him for the next event. And the next. We’ve been working together for the better part of two years at this point, and his work continues to astonish me, no joke. At the moment he remains rather undiscovered, so he’s affordable and flexible. Need a holiday portrait? Wedding photographer? Pet enthusiast? Call this guy. He’s even captured a family property which was subsequently listed on , and guess what? The property continues to rent, every month, going over a year now.

Before attending my first Unilocal event this year, I was already searching for a photographer to capture some glimpses of my life when I’d celebrate becoming 40 in Oct. Adam was the guy at every Unilocal event I went and I watched him at work and the results of his unique perspectives of people, life, events, etc. Though cautious whom I befriend on Facebook, I didn’t hesitate to send him friend request because I get to see some of his works, especially enjoyed the ones of his adorable daughter. Choosing him among 4 candidates to take my celebratory photos was not a hard decision and he did a perfect job. My friends who own the Pilates studio where the photo shooting took place said they had paid more $$ for less quality work. I am so happy to see the better than expected captures he took of me and it will be always a fond memory!

Adam has been photographing our Unilocal events for as long as I can remember. Since the proof is in the pudding I’d suggest you check his portfolio on the listed website to see his work. Over all these events we’ve gotten acquainted I find him to be polite, respectful and reliable. We got this thing going where we always try to catch one another in the middle of a shot which is funny at times. If you’re looking for a photographer for an event he your man.
