History

Established in 2013.

The Iron Skillet and Skol Tavern opened in the Trail’s Travel Center, Albert Lea, MN in 2013, but was previously the Trail’s Family Restaurant.

Trail’s Travel Center was previously a Travel Centers of America franchise location and converted to a Petro Stopping Center location in 2012. One of the most exciting parts of the conversion was being able to bring the Iron Skillet Restaurant featuring home-​style favorites 24 hours a day, along with breakfast, lunch & dinner buffets.
