History

Established in 1958.

Fuehne’s Tavern was built by Cletus & Rita Fuehne in 1958. They owned & operated the bar along with raising 8 children. They sold the bar to their son Dave & his wife Cindy «Cid» in 1987. Dave & Cindy «Cid» currently operate Fuehne’s Tavern along with their 3 sons being a big help to this date!

Great place. Friendly people. One of those bars where even if you arent a local, everyone knows your name. Cheap drinks. Free pool. Will definitely come back in every chance I get.

Feuhne’s is a neighborhood bar located in the small village of Damiansville, IL (Pop 400). It’s a bare bones warehouse tavern set up. They serve full bar, pub grub, and have a 3 am license. Fun crowd (21 – 30).
Be VERY specific when ordering drinks. I ordered a rum & diet and ended up with spiced rum. When I said this is «Captain’s» not regular rum, she replied «you didn’t tell me what kind of rum you wanted» and replaced it begrudgingly. Too funny.
We ended up having a great time and getting home LATE. There are plenty of hot, farm boys to flirt with and apparently, there isn’t really an enforced bar close time as long as you are in the bar before close. In Ireland, they call those «lock ins.» ;-)
