History

Established in 1968.

Kevin Kropf and his Grandfather Stutzman started building homes in 1968. Over the years they grew and specialized the company into roofing, siding, and maintained general construction focuses.

We have focused on giving back to the community over the years by being actively involved in Habitat for Humanity and hosting their Annual Free Roof Giveaway every year.

Eugene Horvath, joined Stutzman and Kropf Contractors in 2011 as Vice President as a long term partner with Kevin and Karen Kropf. The Kropf family has been building the business since their grandfather helped start it in 1968.

These guys are the best! The first job I had them do was replace the roof and siding on my house and detached garage. A few years later they added 1200 square feet to my detached garage and made sure everything matched from the siding, roof materials and paint. They just recently took out a portion of an exterior wall and a double garage door and replaced it with two garage doors. Again everything matched with the existing materials, even the concrete they poured for the approach into the new door. So if you think «a guy could do it» just call them and they can make it happen. The quality of the work is worth every dollar and I know if I have a problem they will be there to help.

Our next door neighbor had them replace their roof. I am not a customer, but a witness to extraordinary work, and happy to write a testimonial.
The house in question is Victorian style, 2 ½ stories tall, with numerous gables, dormers, a turret with curves, and an octagon shaped porch. It was covered with the original shakes, and needed plywood installed before the new roof went down. This is to emphasize the scope and complexity of the job. There was a 4 day window of good weather.
The contractor showed up Monday AM with about 6 vehicles, including 2 or 3 support rigs that held porta-​jon and cleanup tools, another just for ladders and rigging, etc. Very organized and professional.
13 workers to start with. Each day’s progress was nothing short of amazing. No one ever slacked off, yet morale seemed high. The jobsite was cleaned each evening. They were completely finished by noon Thursday, just barely beating the rain. The finished work looks very good.
I was made aware of the cost by my neighbor. Judging be the size, scope, and difficulty of the job, and the speed of completion and quality of work done, I’d say it was a very reasonable price.
Everyone in the neighborhood has commented on how impressed they were with this company’s work.

«Roof was leaking and they came out the same morning and patched the leak. Our roof was beyond due for replacement, they gave me a very competitive price and even made me a scheduling priority because I was leaking. Roof was torn off and back on in one day, completely cleaned up after they were done, and was personally inspected by one of the owners.
