Specialties
Albany-based business which offers architectural salvage, extraordinary lighting, and custom-designed furniture crafted from reclaimed materials.
History
Established in 2005.
Silver Fox Salvage was started by Fred Shapiro in 2005. Fred was a doctor who loved antiques and salvage since he was in his 20’s, and began the business by collecting salvage and repurposing objects to create new pieces.
Camille Gibeau joined Silver Fox Salvage and together, Fred and Camille grew the business, which eventually moved to it’s current 10,000 square foot location in the warehouse at 20 Learned Street. Silver Fox Salvage, named after Fred’s father, grew steadily over time.
Fred passed away in October, 2013, leaving the business to Camille and his long time friend and colleague, Jaime Walton. Now, Camille and Jaime run Silver Fox Salvage together, and continue to repurpose salvaged objects into new, customized pieces for customers.
