This is a sports bar at its finest. Huge TVS all over. You can even sit outside or on smoke breaks watch the game still because they have flat screens in the Windows pointed out. College bar. Hipster crowd. Not a bad Sunday afternoon.

Waitress very nice but not a wizard. We had to ask for silverware and napkins twice. Menus had food on them. Food service very very slow and it wasn’t busy. I wish I could rate them higher but I won’t be back.

This place was just what the doctor ordered! Liz the bartender was friendly sweet and made us feel right at home! Our visit to Albany was extra special because of this lovely little gem! You just have to visit! By that way, the the food was delicious! We had a terrific burger after a super long day of travel!

My favorite spot in Albany! Every time we go it’s AMAZING food! It may look like a dive bar but the food is anything but that. Spinach artichoke dip is the best I’ve ever had, mozzarella logs with raspberry sauce is delicious! Every time I go I get the buffalo chicken wrap for my meal because it’s the best! Great service, the bartenders are fun and personable plus it’s a great atmosphere!

I’m not sure what I was expecting– but it was more than what was here. Poor service. Loud atmosphere. Cold food. Won’t be back.

I think it would be more fair to give 2.5 stars. It honestly wasn’t exactly what I expected, but seems more of a bro-ish dive bar/sports pub. On a weekday night past 8pm, there were about 90%guys and 10%gals. There are several TVs within and two electronic dart boards near the back entrance. Beer selection was typical and does not offer much craft selections, but included a few ciders. Service was mediocre possibly due to the fact we only were a party of 2 and there were multiple parties with larger groups. We ordered a few drinks along with the spinach artichoke dip(very flavorful!) and honey mustard wings(celery, carrots, bleu cheese included). The wings were meaty and tender but could use more flavor as I would’ve preferred more honey mustard coating. In conclusion, if you are looking for typical pub style food and don’t mind a louder and more crowded atmosphere this would suffice. In my opinion there are many more other places to enjoy myself!

Honestly, I have been to this spot multiple times. But the last is the reason why I am Unilocaling. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap which I was craving for hours. It was finally time to bring this bad boy home and I open up my to go container and there it was, just a box of lettuce and a few pieces of chicken. No wrap, no fries, nothing. Completely dissapointed as the waitress heard my order. Not sure if I will be back anytime soon.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere on a Friday night. We tried three bars close together on New Scotland and Graney’s was just what we were looking for. Great food, good prices, a pitcher of Naughty Nurse for $ 13, couldn’t complain about anything. And the Fried Ravoli??? Perfect pub fare! Will definitely go again!

If you’re looking for an off-the path away from all the college filled bars, Graney’s takes the win as a good local dive. Two electronic dart boards which are next to each other. This makes it a little tricky to have two separate games running at the same time. Prices are decent for the area and they have a wide selection of liquor to choose from.

The wings are very good, some of the best in town. Add an order of sweet potato fries and it’s an excellent night. The layout is good, with a clear demarcation between the bar and sitting areas, with plenty of televisions with diverse programming. I like their beer selection as well. It’s a great location in a nice suburban neighborhood. In summer, there is nothing quite like sitting on the sidewalk watching the world go by. Only once have I been there when someone in the bar got rowdy, and the staff handled it exceptionally professionally and without fuss. The staff is always professional, kind, and efficient.

Good wings. That’s the only reason to come here. It’s a cheesy sports pub with many piggy faced patrons.

Graney’s is a decent sports bar to grab a beer with some friends and watch the game. The food is mediocre and the beer list is poor. If you don’t mind mediocre food and you aren’t into craft beers, you may enjoy this place. I’m not a huge beer fan so I was pleased that they had a few ciders and Crabbie’s Ginger beer. The service can range from OK to good depending on who is serving and how busy the restaurant is. I’d heard that the waitresses were former strippers so in the past it had felt like going to a Hooters: bleach blondes with rock hard fake tits pushed up and out. It was distracting, and unappealing. I find the stripper look kind of nauseating so it sort of added an unpleasant element to the experience. I’ve noticed they’ve calmed down somewhat and the servers weren’t so fake and awful looking, just cute girls showing a little skin, it is summer. The food is ok. The sweet potato fries aren’t very good at all. They are not what I would usually expect as fries, but are soggy rounds, someone offered a picture of them to illustrate my point. Their pizzas kind of remind me of the pizza served at my high school, which was good in its own way. They did offer a really good specialty burger. The Reuben burger, basically a ground beef patty topped with corned beef sauerkraut and Russian dressing. I’d suggest checking it out and giving it a chance. As long as you aren’t expecting a whole lot or looking for a fabulous meal.

Unassuming storefront. College bar feel inside. Major surprise! Food was delicious! Wings crispy and tasty — teriyaki awesome. Burger really good with a homemade feel. Chicken quesadilla tasty with plenty of salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Waitstaff pleasant and on top of things. Would recommend for a very casual afternoon!

Great local bar. Delicious wings and very attentive wait staff :-) By far, their specialty are the wings. You can create sauce combo’s which are amazing. For years a bunch of us have been ordering the amazingly delicious sauce combo of: BBQ, Parmesan, Garlic, and Medium They shake all of the flavors up with the wings and creates the best combination yet. They serve the wings in a large wooden bowl and when they uncover it on your table, the delicious smelling smoke and steam billows out. Try that combo — you will not be disappointed!

Pretty standard bar food. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good. I think they pride themselves more than anything else on having a lot of TVs and hot waitresses. The place isn’t that big so the tables fill up quick. We ended up sitting in a little area off the bar on a big sectional couch with a coffee table completely surrounded by TVs. A different dining experience to say the least. Seems like a good place to go if you wanna chill and watch some sports.

It was Friday evening. We had been drinking since happy hour started and now the NCAA Sweet Sixteen matches were about to start. We were hungry, but wanted to keep drinking. Where could we find a decent place to accommodate such Friday evening wants? Then I remembered Graney’s, which I hadn’t been to in awhile, but everything Ryan M. wrote two years ago still holds true: 1) Hot Waitress 2) Reasonably priced bar food 3) Hell of a lot of flat screen televisions to watch college basketball. I think there is pretty much one television for each seat. But there are more cool things: 4) A semi-private area with a comfortable couch and table to accommodate a larger party. 5) Surprisingly very good Buffalo wings. They are very similar to the famous wings at The Anchor Bar as they are meaty, spicy and crispy. Could use more sauce, but they hit the spot. 6) Pizza Fries. Steak fries shaken in Buffalo sauce and topped with mozzarella. A glutinous feast to feed your whole party. 7) A true Sports enthusiast atmosphere. We were watching the UNC vs. Ohio game and the bar was split between Tar Heel fans and those, like me, who after admitting their brackets are doomed, were now rooting for the Ohio underdog. Outside of the wings, the rest of the food is only decent, but I think Graney’s may be the best sports bar in Albany. 3 ½ stars.
