Gill Tract Community Farm

This is truly a phenomenal and well organized community farm! It’s huge! During certain times you can walk through the garden and pick your own vegetables, bring your family and help out with the garden or do a walk through. We had to come back because my 4-​year old wanted to come back to work in the Children’s Garden. Have you ever harvested your own veggies, cut your own herbs? The volunteers are all very dedicated in helping you and your kids learn. If you don’t have a garden at home it’s the perfect place to spend an hour or so with your kids to learn some gardening skills. If your kids are adamant that they already know how, it’s a great for teaching them about all the various plants and herbs. Or, that their expert knowledge in harvesting is needed to help out at the community farm. All the plants are well marked.
All the produce is sold for a donation to keep the farm running. Do take time to take a tour so you can truly take in the beauty of their community spirit.
