I brought in a new touch screen to put in my computer and charge me $ 90 to put it in without cleaning it properly. Now I have debris inside my machine visible through the screen. Do not go here, this guy is a dick

We’ve done business with DJ Computers for many years through thick or thin. Danny is a person with great honest who is willing to work out a deal any time.

Had Dan take a look at my server for my business. First, he did an extensive diagnostic and made suggestions that I could do myself to improve performance– and did not even charge me! I decided, even though I myself am my company’s IT guy, that I needed his help, however. So Dan came to my office, sat with me for a couple of hours, made some MAJOR performance improvements to my server and his fees were $ 100 less than the same service I got from another firm a couple of years earlier that was not even half as good (the other firm really helped very little, where as Dan’s improvements were immediately visible). Dan is my new hero!

Brought in a MacBook Pro that died several months ago. Within 24 hours of bringing it in, Danny had diagnosed the problem, called me with a quote to repair, and i walked out the following day with a new hard drive and OS for a fraction of what I would’ve paid to purchase a new Apple laptop.
The following week, I brought in an HP Touchsmart that stopped working after a bunch of system updates. Again, within 24 hours, Danny diagnosed and fixed the problem, and I walked out with a functioning PC.
Reasonable prices, quick turnaround, good customer service. I now consider DJ Computers my go-​to place for any future computer problems!

Fantastic customer service. Reliable. Fast. Honest and realistic in explaining the limitations of repairs. Their good work has kept me from needing to buy a whole new computer — twice!

I am not a customer — yet. But the integrity demonstrated here means I will be.
I brought in my computer. He couldn’t replicate the problem, but shared the usual causes for what I saw, and ran them down from least to most expensive to repair. Now if it happens again, I’ll know what to look for and feel well-​equipped to decide on that repair or just replace my decade-​old machine.

Danny has custom built several of my high end Gaming and Video editing systems. He is friendly and knowledgeable and takes little time to build complex systems with accuracy. DJ is my «Go To» business for all my system upgrades and repairs. I highly recommend them, in fact I am on my way there now…

Went in a couple days ago after being referred by Radioshack just up the street. I was looking for a VGA to HDMI adapter cable for my computer monitor. I came in and was immediately greeted and shown exactly what they had.
I tried one of the cables (cheaper here than on amazon!), but it wasn’t the right one. I brought it back an hour later and exchanged it for another option. It was $ 5 more, and I only had $ 3 cash on me, but he (Danny, I believe) exchanged it anyways and told me to come back to explore more options or receive a refund (which they normally don’t do for cables) if it didn’t work.
Fortunately, it worked perfectly, and I was able to get my new computer up and running without any more issues.
Really exceptional service! Trying to get the computer set up was frustrating as hell, but my experience here was amazing!

i just love these guys. honest and willing to go that extra mile or two for me. i’ve purchased many computers from them over the years. i’ve been out of th computer game for along time but i still go to see danny and john.

Just a word of caution, don’t go there when the owner, Danny, is not there. And just a word to Danny — You might want to think about who you leave in charge there when you leave for vacation. I went there at such time and got the biggest blowhard talking my ear off about all kinds of things, telling me my computer was not worth fixing when you can just by a new one cheap blah blah blah. In truth, he just didn’t want the work, as he said he was only there part of the day and had too much to do. Took it elsewhere, got it fixed for less than $ 200 and was on my way.

Honest yet willing to go the extra mile to see if a fix was possible. Good to put a face to the person working on the project b rather than other companies who just ship everything out. Quick turnaround and good service.

Kudos to Mike Cooke who’s manning the shop at DJ Computers while Danny is in China. In the last four days – Thurs-​Sun – Mike has provided me with incredible professional help in getting my computer back and running. After I took an ailing monitor to be looked at in the store onThursday he kept it over night, reporting Friday morning that it seemed all right. I took it home Friday afternnoon, found the trouble was the same, screen blacked out, I reported the situation. to Mike. He came within an hour to my home to evaluate. It didn’t work for him either. He took the moniotr and the tower back to his shop to work on Friday night and Saturday – saying he’d call when work completed. I didn’t think I’d hear till Monday. But today, Sunday, he said I needed a different monitor, that he could provide a used, inexpensive one from the shop. I said, «Go for it!» Mike called again about an hour later, said he was on his way to bring them to my place and to install them for me. This he did, cheerfully,
efficiently, and quickly.

Wow. Danny was fantastic. He carefully considered the wiring problem I had and charged me nearly nothing to solder it. Saved me from having to replace a more expensive part or even get a new computer. Same day service, very fair minded, and creative in his solutions. You can trust this guy. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

Danny is fantastic — he was able to handle a complex pc rebuild for me in very little time, and at a very reasonable cost for his time and expertise. I think he enjoyed the challenge, in fact, as I wanted to replace the power supply, motherboard, cpu, cooling system, boot drive, etc. — nearly the entire system other than the case.
I probably could have bought a new machine by the time I was done buying high end parts for my photo/​video editing system, but that’s another story — I’m very pleased with the exquisitely cabled result.
It’s an interesting location — while I was there Danny dealt with a variety of customers, and in every case, including mine, focused on the most pragmatic and cost effective fix possible.
I wish I’d known about Danny a long time ago. I’ll definitely return to DJ computers for any pc /​laptop repair or upgrade that I can’t handle on my own. Highly recommended.

I was just searching on Unilocal and happen to come across the review on 8÷11÷13 for a DJ Computers, and I am not a customer. I have knowledge of computers, but don’t understand technically how to fix or repair them. I use an IPAD more.
Sounds like this customer doesn’t understand nor appreciate what «profession» means. She would sound like a type of person that would question a doctor, lawyer, or auto mechanic for their professional service. What did they do to charge some much??? We have to respect professionals. They have experience, knowledge, and training in their field, that’s why their service is valued. If you can’t afford or are to cheap to pay the cost, do not go to a professional service, do it yourself. Treat professionals with respect.

This is in response to Karen F.‘s review on 8÷11÷13. If you haven’t done so already, please take a minute to read that review first:
I was reading this post and I think it is only right for me as a third person to bring some light upon the situation. I was actually present at the time of this event. Clearly, this customer has a blurred perception of what technical services are.
This customer came in an aggressive manner to say her son was overcharged for a recent laptop service. She insisted the she got a quote of $ 65, but was charged $ 90. To my understanding, Danny (business owner) rarely charges that little for similar jobs. His hourly rate is $ 90 and it is printed on every service agreement; the customer even signed the contract agreeing to a labor fee of $ 90/​hour. The woman wanted to know why the job took so long to check a cooling fan and thought that it was not worth it. Some people do not understand the meaning of «professional service».
As a professional consultant at a top engineering company, I understand the meaning of providing a service that falls within a skilled profession. I did not go through all that school, training, and experience to providing a service that is not of significant worth. Therefore, I felt a bit insulted when this woman came in complaining about being charged too much for a computer service. There are reasons why Danny has been so successful through the years; he is a knowledgeable expert in his field and can perform services that an average person cannot fathom. Danny, like me, works hard at what we do and try to provide top-​notch service to our clients.
As an added note, the customer also mentioned her son works and makes $ 9/​hour and thinks that a $ 90 service is outrageous. Again, the customer signed an agreement to the quoted price before the service began. Clearly, there is a difference in time-​value here. If the son wanted to save money, he should have performed that service himself, seeing how his time-​value is so low.
In fact, Danny was able to save the customer money by not having to replace any parts, which is a plus for any type of service, from a car to a house. That is considered a benefit to both the customer and the technician.
I am glad that the customer was able to voice her opinion on Unilocal.I am also glad that there are other places that would gladly provide the same service to her. But given Danny’s ability and history to provide reliable computer-​related services, I do not think that she would be able to find a shop with a greater level of service.

RIPOFF REPORT:
It’s hard to believe that these other Unilocalers even went to the same place! This guy is anything but affordable. We brought in a laptop because the fan had stopped working. Danny quoted $ 65 to diagnosis it. But when he opened it up to check the part number, the fan started working again on its own. He charged $ 90 despite not replacing the fan! When I tried to reason with him, reminding him that he had quoted only $ 65 for the diagnosis, he immediately became loud and argumentative and said, «I could have just lied to you and said I changed the fan, and charged you $ 135.» The fact that defrauding a customer is the first thing that comes to his mind says a lot. $ 90 for nothing is absurd. I would stay away from this joker.

I had a great experience getting my computer fixed at DJ Computers. Danny was patient, available, (over the phone and in-​person), and fast. He was always in a good mood, and I can tell that he takes pride in his work.
I highly recommend taking your PC problems to DJ Computers, they really go the extra mile in providing affordable and quality service. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would return.
