Courtyard by Marriott Albany/Thruway

It was late, we were tired and my wife found them due to price and location.
Front desk person was very polite and helpful and the room was clean and large.
Had a quiet night of rest and would stay again.

Great place for a stay, didn’t have time to look around and venture but loved my stay for the night and a plus that it’s in the same parking lot as a dunkin donuts!!! Front desk staff was very nice, I would not recommend Westgate pizza anymore, but I love Courtyards, especially this one was clean and cozy! Thanks so much!

Every time I stay at another Marriott property I realize how bad Hilton is. This was a delightful stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room was comfortable and quiet. That’s all I need when I travel for business

Situated perfectly across from UAlbany we enjoyed our recent one (1) night stay.
Upon arrival we were offered a 1^st floor room near the back exit.
I was assured the floor would be quiet and it certainly was.
A nice sizable room with a comfortable king size bed resulted in a relaxed sleeping experience. The shower — with strong water pressure — did not disappoint.
No complimentary breakfast offered however the hotel has an on-​site small lounge type restaurant which we did not venture to. Complimentary Wi-​Fi worked perfectly — no issues.
Small pool and jacuzzi available and room includes small fridge.
Rear exit provides easy car access when arriving /​leaving.
Very comfortable one night stay —

First time I stayed at Marriott and can definitely note the differences between Holiday Inn/​Hampton Inn. We arrived very late on a Friday night and the staff kept our reservation. It was so nice that they put us on the first floor right near the exit so we did not have to worry about carrying our luggage up the stairs/​elevator. Since it’s graduation weekend, the whole place was booked up entirely so if you plan on staying here, just book many months ahead. This hotel is directly across the street from the big ceremony so it’s quite convenient.
The rooms are pretty big and the beds are so comfortable. Our room was equipped with a refrigerator, coffee/​tea maker, tv, desk, and lounge chair. I wish there was an in room safe, but I think there is one at the front desk. Unfortunately there is no complimentary breakast like the Hampton Inn. But there is a restaurant on site and Dunkin Donuts next door. One thing to note is that if you forget your toothbrush or anything, the front desk does not provide one for you. They guide you to their mini store to purchase one. One night, our maid did not replenish the tea bags in the room, so I asked the front desk for some tea and he just told me to go to Starbucks. Like really? I guess that’s why I removed a star because other hotels just gladly give you a toothbrush or some complimentary tea (ie Hampton Inn). Besides that our stay was pretty good.

Adequate. Quite costly for what you get. While convenient to U Albany, inconvenient to restaurants on central ave. Only stayed here for the points.

The rooms were very clean, and the bed linens were very fresh as well. I was very comfortable staying here and slept very well. No bedbug sightings.
There are not tons of stains on the carpet like you might see elsewhere. The bathrooms are very clean. TV is flat screen, and there is a wireless hookup with a desk in the room.
Full-​size closet with ironing board, small mini fridge. I had a King Size Bed with a sofa sleeper.
The front desk and managers were extremely nice. Probably one of best customer experiences I’ve had at a hotel where they make you feel like you should stay one more night.
There is a computer access area and a boarding pass printing station. Workout room and pool as well.
Small restaurant on sight — do not believe the breakfast is free.
Directly across the street from The University of Albany. Dunkin Donuts and Sunoco within the same parking area of the hotel.
Overall — I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I have had great experiences with Marriott’s, and the Courtyard Thruway Marriott was one of the best.

Apparently they recently renovated the hotel and it shows. Everything was new and clean. Can’t comment on the pool, gym or anything other than the room which was spotless, the staff pleasant it was an overall great experience. Right off the thru way and across the street from Albany University great location! Small patio at the front of the hotel was great for morning coffee before hitting the road.

The staff was extremely on arrival. I booked the King Suite which was on the 2^nd floor. There must have been a vent or fan outside the room because we heard a humming throughout our stay. The room was a nice size and very clean. The toiletries left something to be desired and the shower curtain needed to be changed as the bottom was becoming moldy.
The lobby was nice and had a Bistro along with a sitting area for drinks or a quick snack. The pool was small but nice as was the «gym» area.
When I was checking out, they had charged a meal to my room which I never had. They quickly took it off my bill with no problem. I gave it 3 stars mainly because the staff was so nice.
It is directly across from the main entrance to the University of Albany and has a gas station and Dunkin Donuts on each side!
