Dr. Wallach is an old school physician. He’s community minded, he’s hands on, engaged with a good bedside manner, and he listens. Dr. Wallach and the practice also take you when something comes up suddenly that can’t wait until next week or next month —
I’ve been going to see Dr. Wallach for many years and the staff faces never seem to change. I’ve always found the staff to be organized, cordial, and very professional and and they speak highly of him — a large part of the reason I suspect they have been with him for so long.

My primary care physician was changing specialties so I needed to find a new one. I came across Dr. Wallach and I liked what he had to say on his profile. But I am not impressed with the way he practices medicine. He always seems like he is running behind and is always in a hurry. During one visit he asked me how things were going and then interrupted me before I even got two words out and stated «I’m double booked I don’t have time .» When I did get a chance to tell him something, he didn’t believe me and wrote something in his notes that was not accurate because he didn’t want to believe what I was experiencing.
The office staff are always mixing things up. They call me to make an appointment and then call again a few days later wanting to make an appointment forgetting they just called a few days before. They lose forms and don’t seem to understand what you are trying to explain to them. It takes several phone calls and explanations to get someone to understand the issue/​problem/​request.
I’m in the process of finding another physician.

I went in as a new patient and asked for a complete physical. He proceeded to tell me that ‘We don’t need that, just let me know if you feel anything strange or have any symptom’. Huh? Lazy.

They are very good at trying to squeeze you in but it usually means at least an hour in the waiting room. Dr Wallach didn’t seem to have the best bedside manor… which is important to me. He also seemed quick to write a prescription.

Dr. Simon is the best Dr. I have ever had. She’s smart, thorough and compassionate. Yes, it is not the greatest that sometimes you have to wait hrs if you need a same day appt.(bring a book) but other than that I love this office. The staff are all great and Dr. Wallach too is a rare breed of Dr., one of which I am afraid will be an endangered species soon in these days of managed care.

I really glad that I don’t see Dr. Wallach much. Not that he’s not a nice guy (he is), or not friendly (he is), or not medically competent (he is). Really it’s just that the the less I see him, presumably the healthier I am. And the fewer encounters with needles I need.
The few times I have been in, however, he’s been great. He keeps the visit light and cheerful, even when he used to chastise me for not exercising. Now that I do, he’s been good about positive reinforcement. I also appreciate his penchant for recommending the low-​cost, low-​tech approach to treatments first. (see trivia below)
The nurses and staff have always been positive and efficient, and I’ve never had a problem. If the appointment calendar allows, I do recommend seeing Dr. Wallach himself rather than the P.A. (Jerry). I saw him today and found him somewhat less credible – he seemed unsure of some procedures, and I was a little surprised to find myself explaining body fat percentage to him.
Trivia: Case-​in-​point for low-​tech treatment — I was incapacitated by nausea-​inducing vertigo for a couple days. Dr. Wallach got me in quickly, and said that there were 3 options: (1) an out-​patient surgical procedure, (2) a pharmaceutical ear drop, or (3) go hang my head off the end of the bed and shake it around like a rock concert. He recommended approach #3. I tried it; it worked. Encore!
