I first went to Swansons. They were rude and wanted me to buy one of their outrageously priced blanks. I needed a key copied for my car and I had my own blank. The folks at albany lock and key were really nice and copied it for free. Works great! They did warn me that if it slipped they weren’t responsible, which is perfectly reasonable.

They cut my key blank with my original motorcycle key I had. It was a blank that I had to special order and wait for, the blank cost me $ 7.50. They charged me $ 3.50 to cut it. I then find out they cut it wrong, they cut it to the wrong length and left out a couple important ridges. I go back and they gave me the $ 3.50 back and said was all they could do. So I am out $ 7.50 and have a paper weight. Don’t go there, it really isn’t hard to cut a key and if they screw up on something that simple they will screw a lot more up I’m sure.
