I purchased a Suzuki SX4 AWD vehicle and loved it from the get-​go. It has all of the features of an SUV crammed into a tiny hatchback. From the push of a button it goes from 2-​wheel to all-​wheel to 4WD. It’s great in snow, icy roads and downpours.
The mileage to gas ratio is OK BUT it doesn’t come anywhere near what the manufacturer boasts. They must have tested this vehicle on a perfectly flat surface with no wind and on a straightaway with no stops. Regardless, this vehicle is still somewhat economical and a pleasure to drive. And it’s cute as a button to look at yet rather roomy compared to what it looks like from the outside.
I love the standard keyless entry and specialized valet key. Should someone try to steal this vehicle, it won’t go far without the keyless remote.
Here is where this vehicle falls short. ALL parts are custom made and can NOT be serviced anywhere other then an authorized Suzuki dealership. Standard auto parts such as mufflers, exhaust pipes, anything to do with ac unit etc. Can only be repaired by Suzuki. Trust me, I have tried.
They do not tell you this at the dealership nor is this crucial information available in the basic car specs. Unless you dig for the information you will never know how pricy and what a hassle it is to get minor repairs serviced until the time comes. And you will be shocked. Then confused then downright angry with the company!
The price to repair minor issues end up costing anywhere from 2 to 4 times the cost of repairs on comparable vehicles. To make matters worse, Suzuki dealerships don’t have a stock of basic parts for repairs. They actually have to order them from Suzuki in Japan, wait for them to arrive, then schedule an appointment.
I have gone weeks not being able to drive my car just waiting for basic parts to be shipped then waiting another week to get an actual service appointment.
SX4’s seem like a great value based on their initial price. But once things start going wrong a few years down the road the cost of repairs and lost time without your vehicle will out-​cost your Initial savings and turn into a money-​sucking pit. Buyer beware!

This is a follow up to my previous review. I had a terrible time with follow up service and no return calls or response to my text messages trying to set up a service appointment to address after purchase issues. Talk about a major disappointment! Ironically, six montjs or more later I received a call asking me how things are and I made my unhappiness quite clear. A month or two after that I received another call inquiring about service and I again repeated my story, berating the caller because the dealership didn’t have their act together to know they’d already called me and I was not a happy customer. In the competitive auto business you have just one chance to make a good impression but it starts with the purchase AND the followup. Destination Kia blew it. I give them less than one star.

Received the worst kind of fake incentive from this dealership with the contact name Chris Pivacek. The return address on the envelope is The Administrative Offices, Records Division, POBox 162 Sorrento FL 32 776 and its exterior also states «Please Verify Contents: Registered Documents Enclosed». Inside is a letter stating, «You have been pre-​qualified for an auto lline of credit from $ 7,500 up t $ 29,000», and a plastic card and goes on to give instructions on how to access this supposed offer.
Now of course we all know about these fake incentives and that if one were to respond, one would quickly realize that it is just a way to get the customer into the dealership. Caveat emptor and all that. Of course any recipient would qualify for more or less auto-​purchasing credit regardless of such a sleazy promo.
And «sleazy» is the operative word here. I would avoid any dealership engaging in this kind of practice with the proverbial ten-​foot pole. Oops, make that a fifty-​mile pole.
