I have a horse here! She loves it and I am able to ride her on the trials and in the arenas, although sometimes they are quite busy. Ingeniously love this place, it’s clean, the people are nice, and it’s so kid-​friendly:)

I called them two days ago to arrange a private horseback riding lesson, left a voicemail and haven’t heard from them so far. I also tried to send a message to them through Unilocal yesterday but still no response. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to contact them?

i recently moved my training business here. They welcomed us with open arms. The owners and manager are just great, easy to work work and very willing to listen to new ideas. The boarders are very nice and down to earth. They have a lovely indoor and outdoor arena with good footing and first class trail access. The stalls are well bedded, the staff is wonderful. Just a great place to be with your horse.

I Love Summit Ranch! It is a warm, friendly and beautiful place to board your horse.
The Ranch Manager Heather Herman is an amazing trainer. Especially for someone like me who has just begun working with horses. She has a such a positive attitude and has been there to assist me on numerous occasions. Owners Bob and Joan Marx take a hands on approach to running the stable. Together with Heather they are an awesome team.

I echo all the statements here. The ranch is beautiful, friendly and could not be more perfectly situated, with direct access to miles of trails in the Mt. Diablo open space. Heather Herman is an awesome instructor, especially for someone like me who is re-​entering the world of horses after many, many years out of the saddle. Under her expert and patient tutelage, I’m getting my horse legs back! I highly recommend Heather and Summit Ranch to anyone looking for top notch instruction in the most spectacular setting anywhere.

We fumbled around for a long time trying to find the right program for our 12 year old daughter. In short, we have finally settled in at Summit. Heather Herman (the Summit Ranch Manager) is the best trainer and instructor we have worked with — period! She has established a «one of kind» apprentice program at a very reasonable price for youth riders. In addition, she has taken on the challange of transitioning our retired throughbred race horse to trail riding, and in the process, has also trained me on how to better handle. On top of that, she has been instrumental in training me, not only as a rider but in training me to train my horse.
As for the ranch, they are very clean and super organized and located at the foothils of Diablo. My daughter raves about the marathon trail rides Heather schedules.
For your money, it doesnt kid any better than this.

The best horse stable I have stayed at. The Owner of Summit Ranch keeps the facility, clean, safe, and fun. My son, Tim, is in the Summit Ranch Apprentice Horse Program where he is learning horsemanship. He loves the program that is headed up by Heather Herman, the on site trainer, who is good with kids and adult students.
The stable also has great riding on Mt. Diablo. If you love your horse, Summit is the place to stay.

I recently started taking riding lessons at Summit Ranch. Very impressive! The facilities are beautiful, and the setting is perfect! The ranch has exclusive access to Mt. Diablo State Park, which offers miles of open space, trails and scenery. There are also newly updated indoor and outdoor areas. My instructor, Heather Herman, is an excellent teacher. She is very patient, knowledgeable and thorough. Bob & Joan Marx, the owners of Summit Ranch, have obvious love for the ranch, it’s people, and of course the horses! My wife and I are very happy to be a part of something so beautiful.
