Custom Nails

Was in town for a business trip for a couple of days and we finish earlier then I thought. So, I went around exploring the city. Really like it here the food is actually nice and then I spotted this salon. Looked nice enough to catch my attention but I was very skeptical at first if this actually a good place. But, I went in anyways. To my surprise this salon is really great! The techs working here are very funny and friendly. Every inch of this place is spotless and didn’t had any chemical smell lingering in the air. When it was my turn the nail tech working on me did a great job of reshaping my nails and removing the cuticles. She also listen to all my requests without a problem. My nails looked really captivating after she was done. I really like how they looked now!

Leena runs a great salon. I love Rachels work. She’s very gentle and I have sensitive skin. This is the only salon I go to and I’ve tried many nail salons in the area!

What I know that is different about this shop is that entire staff works in unity. My teenage daughter and myself can be in and out the door within an hour. We both can get mani and pedicures along with waxing. The convenience of having several manicurist work on us gives us both fast service with an excellent job. Lena does a terrific job with pink and whites. The shop is extra clean and all of the manicurists are young. I don’t feel the anger and resentment due to the past war. Beware an older manicurist may still have family in their country and this type of manicurist may have lived through the war herself. Yes, they act polite in front of you but what are these older manicurists saying about you in their own language. Yes, I had this experience. I’m glad I switched shops.

I didn’t want to have to change my review, but I feel as though I need to validate this…
Went for a Custom Manicure & Pedicure yesterday.
$ 60 later — plus $ 20 tip — my hands look horrible. Polish on one finger just completely chipped off (half of it — gone)!
All the tips of my nails have chipped.
When I tried to correct, all of the new polish separated so I’ll have to go somewhere next week to be polished.
My manicurist tried to adamantly up sell Shellac (which I didn’t want to sit through).
Pretty sure she put some crappy topcoat on so her point would be made that Shellac is superior (which I already know, as I have a gel light).
I will say her massage skills were excellent and she made my nail shape really pretty, though some corners were very sharp.
The owner has done my manicures before and I have never had this problem.
Her manis have lasted nearly 2 weeks.
For $ 35 and one day later, my hands look unacceptable.
Sorry ladies. :(

Went yesterday for shellac and pedicure. I’ve tried everywhere else in Alamo… with no luck. Clean, professional, and all around great experience. Will definitely be back!

I have been here several times and have enjoyed every visit. It is clean and the people who work there are nice. I like what they have done to turn around the nail place from the previous owners. It is very nicely decorated and renovated. I definitely recommend this nail salon!

Love this place! Tons of polish color options to choose from. Adorably decorated and very clean! New favorite spot!

This place is not very appealing rather dirty I would say.
I came in for a simple manicure and pedicure, but the owner kept trying to pressure me into getting other services. Which made me feel uncomfortable. Moreover, the person, who was cutting my nails, accidentally cut my skin which consequently made my hand bleed.
I don’t blame the lady but I expect an apology from either the owner or the lady.
I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service here.

Went here 3 weeks with my sister. I got a shellac mani and a regular pedicure and my sister got a mani/​pedi. We loved it here. They were very nice and the massage felt so good! They were able to fit us in right away too! The only downside is, is that my pedicure which usually lasts at least 2 weeks started chipping after just 1 week and my sisters mani started chipping after just a few days. However my shellac manicure is still perfect!!! Besides growing out which is suppose to happen it has not chipped at all and it has been 3 weeks!

Very disappointed. I have gone here off and on for 5 – 6 years. Many new faces which is fine but poorly trained.
Having a manicure and pedicure is usually enjoyable but instruments were sharp, digging into my skin. Pulling and patting on my hands and feet was the only communication used.
I expressed my pain, yet the manicurist was oblivious. My nails were «clipped» not filed so short and very uneven.
I will not be going back.

The owner did my nails and she was great! I got the custom pedi $ 40 and they took their time on my massage and was very friendly/​clean. It was my first time, and i would come back! y sister got the regular pedi which was $ 25 the price was good+good service, we will be back ! Great job

New owners and new look! They line the tubs with plastic which is nice! Helps keep it sanitary. They did a great job.
This will definitely be my spot now.

New management did this place wonders. It’s clean, gorgeous and comfortable. You know that feeling you can get when you feel like the staff is bad mouthing you or another client? Well, not here! All of the technicians are kind, experienced and above all, professionals! I’ve been here probably 6 times already and each time is exceptional. I’m also a lady who’s pretty particular about her acrylics… no lifting here:) give this place a try!

Everything is truly NEW and décor is beautiful, simple and so clean! I was told that business changed ownership 6 weeks ago. Service very good and did I mention so CLEAN! I got a shellac manicure. Looking forward to going back for a pedicure. Tubs are new and they use a plastic lining so keeps bacteria and fungus away. Most of the pictures on this website are old. Looks nothing like these pics except for the line of white pedicure chairs. Owner very nice.

I really wanted to love this place since I was looking for a new nail salon.
I had a manicure and pedicure and both were fine but one day later, my polish was chipping and peeling like crazy. I went back and they said they do not guarantee polish even though it had been just a day and a half.
I think they thin all their polish so they can get more out of each bottle which makes their polish super thin when applied and in effect, it peels and chips within days.

I got a manicure here on a Thursday, and it began chipping on Friday. I had to removed all my polish by Saturday because it looked so bad. The place needs some serious updating/cleaning.There was a 20% coupon I got for checking in on Unilocal,but they wouldn’t honor it, as the woman said they had stopped paying Unilocal,as it was too expensive to pay to have the coupon on the site. I understand that, but at least offer me something, given that the coupon was still on Unilocal,instead of offering me some lame coupon for «next time.“I gave them two stars for their selection of nail polish. Will not be back.

I went to the salon for my very first time today and LOVED it. Will definitely be going back. I got a nu skin pedicure and they really took the time to pamper you. They did a great job on painting my toes. I then got a gel manicure and the lady did a fantastic job. They have a lot of colors to choose from and the ladies there were super nice and friendly!

I have been going to this salon for several years and Julie and her staff have always treated me like I was family! The salon is very clean and the ladies and men who work there all have done a great job for me. I hesitate to go anywhere else!

I have been going here for probably a year now and will never be going anywhere else! Julie, the one who owns the place, values returning customers and even puts my price down 10 $ because of how loyal I am. The male that works there is AMAZING. He takes so much time and effort on my acrylics– they come out completely flawless. The other woman Lynn doesn’t really take as much time but is still pretty good. But seriously the male there is so damn good! I will never go anywhere else! He is amazing! Take my word for it. Yah yah they talk in their language but who cares? It’s the language they know and if they do my nails good, I’m not complaining.

Lynn was very good! The massage was really amazing and the design is pretty.
