Amazing customer service. Joyce Cheng was a legend. Her children are equally passionate about service and customer satisfaction. We purchased a home near Sacramento last year. We were referred to Unifi by a friend who has used them for many years. I talked w/​Jaime almost every day for a week while we were in ‘mortgage’ mode. She would let me know the best rate she could get us. If it would fluctuate in the day, she would let me know. We found a better rate through Wells Fargo, so she told us to go with that rate, and unfortunately couldn’t offer us a better rate. She was so sweet and kind and caring through the whole process, I almost wanted to go with her, just because of her genuine kindness. However, when it’s a .3% different, we’re talking thousands of dollars. She was sweet enough to tell us to go with the other lender, and what to look out for. She even explained things in our other contract that I wasn’t clear about. Talk about going above and beyond.
When rates dropped this year, we thought about re-​financing. Gave Unifi a call again, and unfortunately, Jaime does not work full time there. However, brother Jason is carrying on the torch. He has been absolutely amazing. He took our call at 10 pm at night from his house and filled out our info as we were driving down to Southern California. He’ll email us at 11 pm and 6 am to answer our questions. He was able to lock us into a rate of 2.99% APR for a 15 year fixed rate mortgage. We’ll be saving over $ 200,000 in interest just by changing from a 30 year mortgage to a 15 year mortgage, at a lower rate. Our monthly payment does not increase too significantly either.
