Rocket Reuse

Stumbled across this little book/​dvd/​clothing store while walking down the street and I love it! It’s so cute inside and they have a variety of used and new clothing, books, games, dvd’s, cd’s, comic books, and so much more! You can’t beat their prices as a lot of their items are not more then $ 10 dollars and are in fantastic shape. Some of the items even seem to be brand new!

Thrift stores. There are a ton of them in the bay area. How many of them offer a wide variety of awesome stuff for a dirt cheap price? Not very many, but Rocket Reuse sure does!
They have so many used books, DVDs, comics, and vinyls all under $ 5 – 10 dollars. They also have a small selection of really awesome vintage jewelry and clothing also reasonably priced for its style and quality. There is something for everyone in this lovely jewel of a store in downtown Alameda!

Cute little store with gently used books, movies, and even board games. Everything appeared to be in great condition, and prices are very reasonable. I picked up some children’s books for my son and niece. Service was also friendly. The rocket in the middle is a nice touch.

Very well set up. Nice and clean. Book and movie (DVD) galore. I didn’t find anything that I was looking for. But I do recommend for clothes, shoes, music, comics and books books and books. Not hard to find walking but if you are driving and trying to look for parking good luck.

I rarely give 5 star ratings but Rocket Reuse deserves the hype.
No, it’s not a huge store, but there are plenty of gems to be found here.
I’m an avid reader so I love walking in here and finding all kinds of vintage and secondhand books that I wouldn’t normally be able to find on Amazon. The books here are cheap, too.
Aside from the books, you will also find movies, music and clothing. The people who work here are very nice as well.

The short: Full of discounted older items.
I was lured by the books right outside the store, and I came across the book, «Julia’s Kitchen Wisdom,» by Julia Child. I have her Mastering French cookbook, and was so amazed that she even had another book that I just had to buy it. Leave it to Rocket Reuse to carry unique items not commonly found.
This store also carries vintage, period clothing pieces, postcards, movies, vinyls, comics and LOADS of books. My friends from Alameda have given their books to RR and rave about the finds that they find here. I most certainly can tell and I love how it’s a community store right in the middle of downtown.

I can’t tell you how WONDERFUL this store is. This store is one of the reasons why OUR town is such a gem. I love this bookstore. My kids love this bookstore. I love that our kids can walk in anytime/​any day and pick out a book for free. This is by far my favorite book store EVER. Thank you for being such a big part of our community. Please support this bookstore.

Cute place with vinyl, books, a couple racks of reasonably priced and well curated vintage clothes, AND THE NEATEST DRESSING ROOM EVER!!!

Great little ‘concept store’ amongst these crazy huge antique malls on every side. Vinyl, Comics, DVD’s, and more make this a pop culture geeks paradise! The store is small and stocked with some collectible stuff and batches of cheapie boxes. They’re open late so you can stop after food or ice cream. Parking is street for this store. I had a blast there, bought a record, and will most definitely visit again!

I love this little shop. Every trip to Park Street includes a stop here to check out the books and vintage clothes. My kids love the selection of books too.

This place is great! It has a good selection of used books, and the choices seen to rotate decently quickly. The shop is small, but we’ll stocked.

Nostalgia is a beautiful thing, especially when it’s presented in a tasteful store like Rocket Reuse! I can’t but help feel giddy coming in here. The selections of books, DVD’s, VHS movies, clothes, comics, and toys that they sell are in good condition. Their telephone booth fitting room door cracks me up. I usually but a couple movies at bargain prices! Great location and clean store, too!

I haven’t been able to get into «Kindle» or any other form of electronic books so Rocket Reuse is my prime source for books. The inventory seems to turn frequently, about every two weeks or so. I can’t say that I have ever left without finding at least something good to read. Be sure to check out the rack out front.
Besides a good selection, they offer a fair deal for trade-​ins. You are given a choice of cash or store credit. With the number of books I read, I usually take the store credit.
The owner and staff are very friendly.
Stop by soon, buy a book, then head for Peet’s. Time will fly and you will also enjoy the sights and sounds of Alameda.

We can’t figure out what we love more — the store or spending time with Catherine! Between her and the vibe in the store (that vintage phone booth turned dressing room just KILLS me! I LOVE it), we keep coming back. It’ll always be Tucker’s for ice cream, and straight to Rocket Reuse to see Catherine for some fun. Throwback gems and memories galore. My wife and I are always like «Honey! You remember what we were doing when THIS came out???» So, so awesome and such a cool experience! — David and Tracy Sovereign :)

Great used CD collection
Great great used book selection-​I can’t walk by the table outside without stopping and being drawn in. We’re in there 2 – 3 times a week these days.
Big kids books section in the back, and a basket of free books for kids (take just 1, please). As father of a book obsessed 3 year old, I love that.
We’re doing our part– and you should too.

Buy and sell used /​vintage items. Their book selection was cool and I scored a cheap hardback copy of The Help. Interested in coming back to sell some stuff and get more books!

This place was pretty awesome and filled with all kinds of gems! A small selection of vinyl records, dvds and some clothing but a huge selection of books. What stood out at this place was that everything was priced dirt cheap!
I traded three toothpicks, some pocket lint and a piece of gum for two records and the true story of the three little pigs. Okay, so that didn’t happen but I did spend less than 10 bucks and walked out with a bag of purchases I was pumped on.
Check the vinyl quality before you buy, I made the mistake of not doing that and came home with a record that skips on one side. Even with that hiccup I would still recommend stopping in here if you are in the area and especially if you are in the market for some used books.

First time at this cool little antique thrift shop. Its loaded with tons of stuff! I could stay here all day. But beware the freaky dolls downstairs !!! Lol. I bought a cute cup for my tea & a pair of sunnys both for $ 5! :) id come here again mostdef!
