Car problems really stress me out a LOT because I don’t understand them. When my mirror got knocked off, I got really worried that I was going to be taken advantage of at a body shop and spend a ton of money. Fortunately, a friend of mine helped by calling O’Reilly and talked to Cayland (whose name I’m probably spelling wrong) who allayed our fears and found us the right part. it was at another O’Reilly store so would take less than 24 hours to become in stock in Alameda. When we went to pay, we asked him if we would be able to put the mirror on. He explained how it worked but said that if we came at a time when there were no customers, he could talk us through and help. We came back the next day and even though it was raining, he helped us, and by help I mean basically installed it but explained how it worked so we felt empowered. He did not ignore the customers in the store; we waited as we said we would, which is the right thing to do, but then spent a good amount of time installing, even in the rain. I can drive now with a side mirror (much safer!) and it did not break the bank! (I’m a teacher and am ALWAYS worried about money). I never felt talked down to by the people at O’Reilly even though I don’t have any idea about anything about cars.

Great, knowledgeable service with a great attitude! We went in to fix a friends mirror, and ended up getting not only a great mirror but help with installation. And, we had fun. Can’t say I’ve ever enjoyed fixing a car before.

This place is the best! Amazing customer service, so much so I felt compelled to write this review right away. Kevin the manager and another worker helped me replace my headlight on my 2006 Nissan Altima even though it was a very complicated process and pretty time consuming. They youtubed how to do it and made sure it was on correctly, which they really didn’t have to for a $ 10 bulb purchase. Really shows their dedication and care to helping customers out, thank u guys I’m definitely coming back in the future!

As someone who is in sales I understand the value of great customer service. Today I’m happy to say I got one of the best customer experiences in my life. Good enough to a point to write this review. As you can see, this is only my third review written so yes… It was that good.
I went in looking for some windshield wipers when Michael, one of the employees, asked me what I needed. He was awesome in recommending the right blades… He broke down everything from the best blades to the best value. He then jumped to the computer and looked up what blades I needed while I was fumbling through the computer in the isle. The best part was after I purchased the blades. Michael was super cool enough to come outside to put the blades on for me. For some reason my blades were hiding under the hood and were a pain in the butt to get to but that didn’t stop Michael. He youtubed how to change the blades on my car, put them on, and cleaned everything up.
I wanted to write this to say «Thank you Michael!!!» I usually go to the shop on central, but will be going to your shop because of your service.

I had a headlight go out on me and got a fix it ticket over the weekend. I stopped by O’Reilly’s auto parts and Thomas helped me find the bulb I needed. He even came out to the car to see if it as something we could replace together. Of course it wasn’t but he made a call to Brett at Car Care Service to see if he could help me. They said to come on over and they’d take care of it. Thomas was friendly and knowledgeable, and I’ll definitely recommend him to friends.

Stopped in tonight thinking that I needed to replace a fuse. After talking to a sales representative Jack, he was convinced that it was actually the bulb. He popped out to mycar, replaced the bulb and sent me on my way in less than 5 minutes. I’m so very grateful to Jack! Awesome service. All the parts I needed.

I must give this place five starts. I needed some help with my car and some good advice and a young Asian kid with glasses was overally helpful and attentive. He drove a black convertible as well. I wish I could remember his name. I will definitely be back here. Excellent customer service. Thank you very much

I am a full time traveler, so it’s a rarity for me to return to a store more then twice in a short amount of time. However, because I am staying in Alameda for a few weeks, my car had some troubles with the lights, I took her in to get new ones. Thomas was a pleasure, and helped me out with as much as he could, and my lights were fixed! My car is very important to me, because we have traveled the country together, over 15,000 miles in fact. I had to return to O’Reillys, for a different issue that Thelma had with her oil. Once again, Thomas was there to help, and was VERY awesome, friendly, polite, and helpful. I hope I don’t have any more problems with Thelma, but if I do, I sure hope it’s in Alameda, and Thomas is around for help once again.
Straight up, Thomas would be perfect for a promotion. What a guy.

Everyone at this store is always a pleasure to deal with. Friendly, good attitudes, always ready to help you look a part up or help you find a product they might carry. Keep up the good work guys

I hate dealing with car stuff. I automatically assume that I will be overcharged or upsold something I totally don’t need. Last Sunday I decided to finally replace my windshield wipers that are falling apart. Not that we have had any rain lately but it might rain again sometime in the future.
I took a deep breath and entered the store and went straight for the little computer that tells you what kind of wipers to get for your car. There were 3 or 4 different brands but only one brand clearly stated what the computer told me to get. Without looking at pricing I picked that only pair that I could match to the computer. Mission accomplished.
When I went to the register the guy that helped me asked if I had looked at a different brand. He said that they were better wipers and that they were on sale. I said no and he offered to go see if they had this other brand. He ended up saving me ten bucks and then offered to install them for me.
Customer service is not dead. I am super appreciative of how helpful this guy was.

Absolutely superb service! I came in almost near closing time after having AAA jumpstart my car due to a dead battery, and the two guys working there were more than helpful in getting me a new battery quickly. The guy at the cashier immediately got us the tools (I’m sorry I didn’t get his name) and the other guy Jack, came out to the parking lot and helped us put it in, all the while, with a great attitude and a sense of humor. It was definitely a pleasant surprise that there are still great people in the world when your day isn’t going so well. They were both also very knowledgeable and really nice. Just way above and beyond the call of duty.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great product knowledge and their willing to walk to your car and help you out. Ask for Andrews that guy is really really helpful and polite! I never really go out of my way to fight to many Yep reviews but his service deserved it

I went in for headlight lamps and was helped by John. Right away he asked me if I needed help. Not only was he helpful, he was informative, polite, and funny. He proceeded to install the headlight lamps for me since I’m a novice and informed me of how I can better maintain my car. I’ve never been so impressed. I’m definitely coming back! Thank you John!

I agree with all the other reviewers — seriously great customer service with friendly employees! As someone who knows nothing about cars or auto parts, I’m always nervous to shop for them or get any services because I’m worried I will get ripped off. I went in needing a part for my car and Michael immediately went outside to look at the problem, recommended a product AND installed it for me, no questions asked. There was no pushy upselling, just honest product recommendations and tips. He was great!
While I was there I also saw another person buying new headlight bulbs, which another employee insisted on installing for them as well. I will definitely be back for any car issues or products I may need!

I wish I got his name so I can give credit where credit is due. The best customer service ever! Bought wipers and asked if they were easy to install, only to get an offer to help me install it! It took him less than a minute whereas it probably would have taken me 30 min. He was just all around pleasant. Another customer asked about a funnel and he offered to borrow the one he had plus offered paper towels! I seldom see this kind of above and beyond service and it just made my day! Thanks! Kudos to the manager for hiring the right people. Not every oreillys is like this (ie the other one in alameda on central). Will keep coming back for all my auto needs!!!

Let’s start by saying your experience here will depend on who you get to help you. With that said I’ve received excellent care from Kevin, Thomas, and Eddie. These guys take more time to help you find what you need.

I had a problem with the battery of the car, the car didn’t start, came here specting to get a new one, the guy offer me two different with a reasonable price, he ask to bring the old battery and i couldn’t. Take it out, so he came to help, then say a don’t need battery. All i need was to clean the built-​in that had, with a coke. Hahaha and i did! He sale me some other thing thay i need and DONE. Back on track.!! I completely forget his name, but hr waz sooooo friendly and helpful.
