Our goal is to help students develop a positive attitude toward communicating in Mandarin by involving them in fun and educational projects.

Empowers learning through hands on, children are engages by practical learning, creates self-​direction through flexible options.

Operated in collaboration with the Alameda Education Foundation

Mandarin After School Program at Bay Farm elementary school, Donald D Lum Elementary School Earhart Elementary School and Frank Otis Elementary School.

Open to new learners of Mandarin and those who already have a fair knowledge of the language.

Bay Farm Elementary school

Gr.Kinder Monday: 2:00 — 2:45 pm

Gr. 1 – 5 Students attend 2 afternoons per week

Mon. & Wed. Mon 3:00 to 5:30 and Wed 1:20 to 4:30

Meet the Business Owner

Kiki C.

Business Owner

Ms. Kiki Chen has been a passionate, creative, and energetic teacher of both Mandarin and Japanese for over 10 years. She is finishing her Certificate in Teaching Chinese as a Heritage and Foreign Language Program at the National Center for K-​16 Chinese Language Pedagogy at UC Berkeley. Past education includes Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and Computer Assisted Instruction in Chinese at the Chinese Culture University in Taiwan, and the Leadership Development Program for Teachers of Mandarin Language and Culture at Stanford University.

Her personal mission is to utilize language development as a means to help young people prepare for the 21st Century. «In the past, it was good enough for a young person to just passively memorize information one subject at a time and to test well. Now, success in an increasingly complex world calls on people to blend skills and combine knowledge from multiple disciplines. So that’s why I’m excited about combining Mandarin development with
