Very professional. I have been coming Dr. Jalen for a few years and can’t see going to any other dentist.
The staff is friendly, and always have a smile and ask how things are– really a nice touch!
By choice I drive the hour to see my dentist because he’s that good !

Sunday I called in with a dental emergency and shortly thereafter Dr. Jalen and his assistant, Ruth, met me at his office. Even though they gave up part of their day for me, their main priority was my comfort. I was treated with the same respect, professionalism and courtesy that I have received as a decades long patient of his practice. He and the entire staff work as a team and they give exemplary service. Thank you.

The office voicemail and the hours listed expressly state that they are open M-​F 8 – 5. When I called the emergency number to have my 12-​year old seen today to repair a cracked tooth, their exchange told me that they left yesterday and said they would not be back until Monday. They left no emergency doctor on call and did not accept new patients. Extremely disappointing.

I grew up before there was flouride in the water and have a small mouth with teeth too big to fit in there. I have cavities in many teeth. This means I have seen dentists since I was young. I moved to Alameda in 1979 and started going to different dentists. Dr. Jalen is the best! I have been with him now since 1983 when someone referred me.
Even though I have had some extensive work done from fillings to crowns he has always been patient and if I start to grimace he stops working and gives me another shot if I want it. He is in tune to his patients and he is also funny! You will feel right at ease. I know he will retire soon and I don’t know what I’ll do. I will miss his care and the jokes.
Juanita and Chris have been there a long time and are great! If they receive an EOB with the wrong amount paid before I have even called the insurance company they are already on top of it.
You all rock!

I have been going to Dr. Jalen for five years now and really like him and the staff at the office. I have found Dr. Jalen to be a great dentist and have recommended friends and my husband to that office.
I had a both a day and night guard made there and the quality was wonderful and has really helped with grinding my teeth as well as my TMJ. When I went to Dr. Jalen I could hardly open my mouth and with their help, and with the help from the night guard, I can almost open my mouth as wide as a normal person.
I would highly recommend Dr. Jalen as a dentist!

Dr. Jalen is absolutely the best. The most caring and technically excellent dentist that anyone could want. His staff are professional, friendly and supportive. I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and feel like this is home. He listens to his patients, is current, informed and caring. This, from a woman who has been deadly afraid of dental work for most of her adult life… for reasons not pertinent here. I only hope you are able to get in and to avail yourself of the kind of personalized care one doesn’t find easily these days.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Jalen since i was 6. They still have a picture of me in my file the first time i came missing my two front teeth. I live in San Mateo now but i still go to Alameda to have my teeth taken care of because I love everyone that works in that office. They are friendly, professional, and they really care about their patients.

I have been going to Dr. Jalen for the past 5 years and have found everyone there to be friendly and professional. My electric toothbrush takes care of my teeth pretty well most of the time but twice a year I stop by here and get a good cleaning. Highly recommended.
