Innervation Energy Solutions specializes in conducting thorough home energy audits. Unlike many of our competitors, at IES we come fully prepared to investigate every aspect of the home’s energy portfolio.

Our auditors come equipped with: a blower door to test the leakiness of the home and to find where the leaks are, an infrared camera to look inside the walls to access insulation effectiveness as well as to find mold/​mildew, combustion safety equipment to ensure that your gas powered appliances are venting properly and not releasing carbon-​monoxide into the living space, and other equipment to assess the home’s overall performance.

Using the data we collect we generate a computer model of your home to find the most cost-​effective actions you can take to save money while simultaneously greening your home!

We are set further apart from the competition as all of our auditors are college graduates with engineering degrees, and every lead auditor is BPI certified to conduct audits.

Arran B.

Business Owner

Arran Blattel is the Chief Building Scientist and Co-​founder of Innervation Energy Solutions. Before coming to Innervation Energy Solutions, Arran worked at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories on automating large scale commercial buildings to reduce energy loads during times of strain (i.e., peak hours). Arran holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Earth Systems from Stanford University, and is certified in home performance by the Building Performance Institute and ResNet (HERS).

When he is not working, Arran can often be found hiking or rock climbing. Arran was brought up in the very environmentally friendly area surrounding Berkeley, and spent a year backpacking in New Zealand after graduating from Stanford.
