Kyle is amazing. I agree with the post — if Kyle moved to Timbuktu I would box up my laptop and send it to him. It is hard to describe him but I will never trust my technology with anyone else. AWESOME.

If Kyle Hansen moved to Timbuktu, I would box up my laptop and send it to him to fix!!! He has worked on my laptop twice. I got some kind of malware on my laptop yesterday, it was really bad, and he was able to secure my laptop and my documents. I’m a teacher, I work on my laptop daily, I am online daily, and I know this from the 2 times Kyle has helped me, he will make the time, somehow, some way, and he gets the job done, he will fix what needs to be fixed, what can be fixed, and then take the time to explain what he did to fix your computer, what you should avoid. He really takes the time to talk to you. He walked me through things I did not know about. We have so much personal info and important information on our computers; I TRUST him, it’s about peace of mind. He is a humble, simple, nice guy. He worked hard on my behalf yesterday. Oh, one more important note, he is very open to follow up questions. I usually have a question or two later and he never fails to find time to respond. I think he rather me not screw it up, lol.

Long story short, this man is AMAZING! If you look at his page you are going to see endless amounts of 5 star reviews and it is no wonder why. Kyle is the go to man for computer problems. You need him, call him, you will not go wrong. He has the best pricing, honest and knows what he is talking about.
Long story:
Our business computer decided it had enough of our non-​tech savvy ways and decided to show us who was boss by deciding to stop working only a few days before Christmas. OMG what are we going to do?! It’s the holidays, NO WAY are we going to find someone to come out and diagnose the problem let a lone fix it until after the holiday. Right… WRONG!
Emailed Kyle and soon as you know it no only do we have a response but, we have an appointment for him to come out and check out the computer. Kyle comes, takes a look says yeah the system is old (DOS) but it can be done bring it back to you tomorrow.
Next day bright and early he is here, with said computer which by the way he has taken the time to clean because, if i am being honest, it has seen better days. He hooks it back up in and low and behold, the angels sing, the lightening strikes and it’s alive!!! We had tried changing a fan without properly treating he processor and fried it along with who knows how many other parts in there. By some miracle he had the parts needed in his office and was able to make it all better.
So there you have it. Kyle is the Best.

I spill nail polish remover on my laptop and shortly after, the keyboard started acting up. Not wanting to purchase a new laptop entirely, I looked on Unilocal for a computer repair place. I choose to go to Kyle because his stellar reviews on here. I’ve never got my laptop/​computer repaired before and didn’t know what to expect. After going to Kyle for help, I can say that all the reviews on here about him are 100% true. Kyle is a very funny, friendly and genuine guy. You can tell he’s very experienced and knows exactly what he’s doing. He explained to me what was wrong with my laptop in a way I could understand and even recommended me some anti-​virus programs to use. The service I received was way above my expectations. I can’t rave about Kyle enough and most definitely recommend him to everybody!

Simply put, Kyle Hansen is an outstanding human being. He’s one of those rare people who renews my belief in the integrity of our species, not to mention he’s a wizard when it comes to Apple or PC issues.
I found out about his computer service on Unilocal while I was looking for some help with a problematic laptop I was relying on to run my business. I felt I could trust his work and that he would charge fairly due to the number of five star reviews and satisfied customer comments I saw. Happily, I discovered they were right on the money. If Unilocal had a sixth star, Kyle would deserve it.
Not only has Kyle helped me with a bunch of other computer issues since then, he’s always willing to fit me in his schedule and patiently listens to me explain in non-​tech-​ese what’s going on with my computer (s).
I’d recommend him to anyone. His expertise, customer service and more-​than-​fair service prices are all outstanding.

Kyle responded timely and repaired my crashed computer in a matter of days. We discussed memory upgrades, but he told me what my laptop was worth and he knew it wasn’t worth the additional expense. I’ll save the money now and he is happy to consult for a new computer when it’s time. I don’t want W-​8, so hopefully can await W-​10.

A couple years ago my computer person was unable to work. he was tops. I have been looking for a couple years to find a replacement and finally I have found him.
Kyle is GREAT.

Left a message last week, have not heard back yet. Left another message today. Hope this is not an indication that service level has changed.

I recently engaged Kyle to scrub my computer free of viruses. It was quite a mess. Kyle is the consummate professional. He explained what he would be doing and the cost. He communicated with me several times about the progress of his work, and recommendations for staying virus free. I found Kyle to be exactly as advertised: professional, honest, competent, a good communicator, very reasonably priced and no surprises. I could not imagine finding anyone better to work with.

My ancient desktop decided to die over the weekend. Kyle was able to rescue my files from the hard drive enabling me to transfer the data to a new pc (removing 2 viruses in the process). He is honest and capable and offers a special flat rate for Alameda residents. Give Kyle a call, you can’t go wrong.

I don’t give 5 stars out every day, but this service warrants a 5+. I was very happy with our communication, very quick resolution of the problem, convenience and the professionalism of the proprietor. The price was very reasonable as well. I will bring all of my future computer issues to Hansen Tech in the future. I am so glad I found him!

I was plagued with a mysterious spinning beach ball. It kept getting worse… to the point where there was only beach ball and no actual computer usability left. Turned out my hard drive data was corrupted and fragmented, and my actual drive was dying.
Kyle picked up a new hard drive for me, hand-​replaced folders from the old drive to the new, and even noticed that my screen resolution had been set to lower than the max. He ended up doing a huge amount of work and charged me a very fair price. So it’s like I have a new computer.

Simply put, Kyle is the best at what he does. He is fair and if he can help save you money he does, I used to used the Geek Squad and in my opinion I got over charged. I feel lucky to have met Kyle and now my computer problems are alot less stressful! Thank you Kyle.

Yep. Another 5 star review. I’m so very glad I found Kyle. He saved my data butt. He is providing me with the kind of service that I typically can’t afford. Why? Because he is a good human on top of being the best at what he does professionally.

Kyle does all my computer work and repair for both home and business. Very reasonable and fair. He has built two solid computers for me so far, and working on a third. I recommend him to everyone!

I was trying to make a computer buying decision which was causing me a fair bit of confusion. I’d spoken with someone at Apple for quite a while, two people at Microsoft and even a Google rep who I ran into. I also spoke to someone at a well-​regarded local computer shop. I’d searched around online too. After all of this I remained confused.
Finally I spoke with Kyle Hansen. 10 or 15 minutes on the phone sorted it all out for me. Kyle is clearly smart and very knowledge. He was more helpful than the other five people I spoke to put together. Got a computer issue? This is the guy to go to!

Kyle is the best. When my laptop screen went blank and I needed help fast, he was there (he answered the phone!) and he took great care of my computer.
He explained in clear English for non geeks what might possibly be wrong, what he was going to do, and was clear and accurate in estimating the time it would take and the cost. When I picked up the laptop, it was healthy again, the hard drive was clean, it ran fast and he had some excellent recommendations for me to keep it running well.

Kyle is the most knowledgeable computer technician I have ever encountered. That in itself is enough to give him the 5-​star rating.
But it is all his other qualities what truly make him an absolutely true 5-​star that puts him far above all the other so-​called 5-​stars out there.
I see that these other qualities are mentioned by the other reviewers (dependable, trustworthy, patient, accessible, affordable, generous, …)
Somebody says «blessed to have discovered Kyle». That is indeed how you do feel, because Kyle (with his expertise coupled with his attitude) exudes that aura that puts your worries at ease.
He understands how traumatic or serious a computer crash can be to one’s business or life. At that critical moment, Kyle is just the right thing one needs; he is just the best one can hope for.
