still waiting for that refund, gabriel. it’s been over a year. you wrote on Unilocal!that you’d be happy to return my money.

I found him through Unilocal and despite some negative reviews I decided to try him out for a small claims case. I called Gabriel and he did not call back, so I then called him again and got a hold of him, and we met shortly thereafter where I gave him the details and paid him a very fair price of $ 35. He then called me a few hours later saying that he had served the papers and would file the proof of service with the court and get me a copy. I was initially very pleased, but then things got interesting. After not receiving the proof of service for a while I called him a couple times with no return call and finally got a hold of him and he said he would get it to me right away. Another couple weeks went by and finally about 5 days before my case and a few more unreturned calls I got a hold of him again and he told me that he had not filed the Proof of Service but would scan me a copy within the hour. He once again did not do what he said he would do and I resorted to calling and emailing him threatening to sue HIM if I lost my case because the proof of service was filed. Then, two days before my court case he finally gave me the scanned copy through email. I asked him if this had been filed with the court but he did not respond. He seemed to do the hard part of his job without any problem but then could not do the easy part. Overall — great at first, but then EXTREMELY flaky and unprofessional afterwards. I would definitely not use him again.

I was considering using a process server to serve some papers. I called him up and he arrived for a meeting in less than an hour. Gave me all the information I needed and we got the job done. Very fast, efficient, reliable and worth the money. I would recommend him to anyone.

I wanted to send an update to my previous review that I never heard a thing back from Mr. Duncan after attempting to contact him several times. It has been almost a month since I hired him to serve my papers.
Do not hire this person unless you want to throw your money away.

Ok so here’s my update. If you’re in the need of a process server, you know you have a deadline to meet a few weeks prior to your court date.
Although Gabriel seemed very professional when we talked and set everything up, he has not returned my 3 phone calls regarding my desire to receive feedback on how the service was going.
Today is 30 days before my court date, and half way across the state I am now stressing that my case will be pushed back. I am having a friend stop by the neighborhood again in hopes that SHE will be able to serve who I am looking for!
Not too happy, give him a shot and JUST MAYBE he’ll follow through for you. I, for one, am severely disapppointed. Hopefully Paypal will be able to assist me in getting my money back…

Ok, this review is late in coming, but I am finally writing it — as promised! I felt it important to write it, albiet late, because I want Gabriel to get credit for the quality of work he provides.
I went through 2 court cases this summer and I hunted around for process servers that were reasonable, but more importantly, creative. In both situations, I was dealing with individuals who had weird schedules and I wasn’t sure what location was the best to reach either of them at. In addition, one of them was a pretty shady character, so I was also worried he might dodge the process server.
If you’ve used process servers before, then you know they generally charge by the location and person, not by the papers. They also factor in distance, number of attempts, and the length of time it takes. So, if I wanted them to try different addresses, they were going to charge me for each location or end up charging another fee if they couldn’t deliver them at the single address within their time frame.
I turned to Unilocal,which I am coming to rely on, and found Gabriel. Not only was he extremely professional and courteous on the phone, he was also very personable and listened to my concerns. He took down the extra details about how to reach the individuals in different places and then turned around and succeeded in serving both parties on that very day without extra charges!
He filed all the papers for me, made sure to provide confirmation to me, and was knowledgeable about some of the extra steps I might have to go through. I also found it convenient he takes Paypal.
I think Gabriel did an awesome job and I would hire him again (only I hope I don’t have to go through any more court dates)! I will also recommend him to anyone I know who finds themselves in need of a process server.

A piece of cake. I called him. He came by and picked up the paperwork. Twenty four hours later he dropped off the court document which had been served & stamped by the county clerk. Couldn’t be easier.

I found Gabriel a most helpful and knowledgeable Process Server in the Bay Area. No doubt, I would definitely call on him again. He is also good at knowing the laws around process servicing so that when papers are served it’s done right the first time! He is honest, straight-​up and where it’s not his expertise he provides good referral information.
