Eric and Alik were amazing to work with. They were always on time, completed the tasks in a timely manner and were the neatest contractors I have ever worked with. My son is so happy with his new room and lighting. Best money spent this year! I can’t wait to work with Eric and his team again!

I had Eric do several jobs at my house, all very different projects. Each one was finished beautifully, cleanly, timely and on budget. I particularly like the creative solutions Eric brings to the table. He can read your mind and give you the outcome that you expected. He’s also good at steering people away from «good ideas» and bringing them back to reality and what is attainable. I have recommended Eric many times and will continue to do so!

Based on all these great Unilocal reviews, and even a recommendation from another contractor, we tried calling Eric to help with our 2-​story addition. My husband called once, and got a call back a couple days later saying he was on vacation he would get back to us when he got home. Ok, a few days goes by. Then a few weeks. So I call this time, leave a message– no response at all. Nice that he’s so busy he doesn’t need/​want new business– good for you, Eric. BAD for me, and anyone who wants a responsive contractor.

Eric recently completed dry rot and pest damage repair throughout our 1920’s Alameda home. After being shocked at the cost the local pest/​termite control company quoted us, we went to Eric and were thrilled by his reasonable quote, down-​to-​earth advice and understanding of old-​house idiosyncrasies. He has an excellent repore with the Building Department, does timely and high-​quality work, is honest and reliable… and is pleasant to have around the house to boot! In addition to the dry-​rot repair he replaced a window, reworked a cranky french door, did plumbing/​electrical/​plastering repairs… etc. We hope to hire Eric again for larger remodel projects down the road.

Eric has done several projects for me and one was a major basement renovation. I would not use anybody else — he is extremely reasonable, professional and his work is exceptional! He has great ideas and is extremely personable. I have recommended him to several friends and neighbors and they are always beyond satisfied. I also like the fact that he can do it all (electrical, plumbing, framing, detailing, painting, etc.) — a literal one stop shop!

I’ve used Eric several times on various projects over the last eight years. The projects range from complex kitchen, bath, bedroom, exterior remodels to smaller projects like tankless water heater installs and plumbing/​electric repairs. What I value the most is his attention to detail, high quality of work, honesty and reliability. I’d hate to share him but he is a rare contractor you can depend on for high quality work. I would be happy to provide a reference.

Eric completed an emergency kitchen repair/​remodel for us this past summer after we discovered mold in our rental property. Everything about working with Eric was a success — he’s responsive, personable and professional. The quality of his workmanship was beyond what we expected and his prices were reasonable for the work completed. He managed to communicate effectively with us as well as with our tenants and helped us to make the situation easier for them. He has continued to make himself available to us for any questions we’ve had and we have used him for a few additional smaller projects as well. We will continue to call Eric as our first choice for both small and larger contracting projects in our home as well as our rental properties. Very satisfied!

Eric has worked on my 100 year old rental property a number of times – both for larger jobs and smaller ones. He always does fantastic work. He is detailed, accurate, quick and reasonably priced. I trust his advice and am glad to have his number in my rolodex. If only all builders and repairpeople were like that!

I have been referring Eric to real estate clients for several years, and I always get rave reviews and often get «thank you» notes and phone calls after Eric finishes the job. He is the «real deal” – a solid contractor who does right by the houses he works on and has practical solutions for function and design challenges.
