I planned my husband’s 40^th birthday from NY so I had to rely only on Unilocal reviews to find someone to make a special birthday cake. I can say Lissette, who is the owner and baker, was truly a professional and made me feel confident that I was going to get the cake that I want. Two things that impressed me about her is her quick responses to emails and answering all my questions. And of course the cake itself. It was exactly how I envisioned.
My friends were complimenting me on the cake and asked where I got it. I got the red velvet and they all said it was delicious. Thank you Lissette!

I approached Lissette to make a Star Wars cake for my son’s birthday and knew I wanted a Stormtrooper cake. I asked her if she had made a cake like this and she said she had made an R2D2 cake but if I gave her a picture she could replicate it. We scoured the Internet for the best design. At first, I went easy on her and suggested something simple. I just wanted to be sure there was none of the disappointment that i have experienced in the past. Even with commercial bakers like Susie Cakes or Sprinkles. I admit, I’m hard to please because I want the best and am willing to pay for it. I then sent her the more complicated picture that my son liked. I let her decide what she could do. I was thinking she would pick the easier cake but she immediately accepted the Stormtrooper Challenge and said without hesitation that she could create the second design. I was so amazed at how accurate her cake was. It was exactly like the picture! I couldn’t believe how spectacular it was because it wasn’t the easiest design but it was cool. I don’t know how she did it but I suspect that it has to do with how truly talented she is.
Everyone at the party marveled at how cool the cake was and how delicious it was. We got the chocolate with cookies and cream filling. I loved that her batter had real chocolate chips in it. I’m a huge fan of mix ins. I plan on ordering at least 2 more cakes from her and would totally get as many as possible if birthdays didn’t come but once a year. If you’re looking for a unique cake that will wow your guests, Dolled Up Cakes is the way to go. Her prices are reasonable, her attitude is professional and passionate and what she creates is nothing less than edible art.

I found Lissette on Unilocal and I’m extremely glad I did. She has beautiful cakes for cheaper than bakery prices! She responded to my email faster than I expected and listened to everything I wanted. We met up where I tried some samples and completed the order. She literally gave me the cakes I dreamed of. I had a specific image of this cake I wanted in my head, and when it came to delivery day, I was impressed. She responds fast, has reasonable prices, and is a great pleasure to do business with! I would love to order more cakes from her in the future!

I was searching for cupcakes a Cuban themed bridal shower. I was impressed with Dolled Up Cakes reviews and contacted Lissette. She was a super professional, accommodating and sweet. Above all her cupcakes were reasonably priced and AMAZING. She made a mixture of tres leche and flan filled cupcakes they were both great but The tres leche cupcakes were one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. My guest agreed as not a single cupcake was left. I will definitely be using Lissette for my dessert needs in the future.

The carrot cake was super moist, packed with taste & texture thanks to batter made fresh with nuts & fruits in addition to the grated carrot. The hand-​styled flower toppers were so intricate and exact, Lissette even hand-​painted details and added gold accents on the fondant covering the cake. It was almost too pretty to eat, and I felt bad cutting into it, but man was it good when I did! Thank you Lissette, that was an excellent cake.

Husband and I have ordered birthday and anniversary cakes from Dolled-​Up Cakes and have always been satisfied with the aesthetics and flavor. Most recently, I asked for a «naked» cake, since my husband usually ends up scooping off most of the icing and she came up with something that had just the right amount of cream and looked cool. Recommend for all occasion cakes and treats.

Contacted Lis to make my Wedding Cake after seeing her portfolio, it was an instant YES for me, very creative and artistic baker i must say. She is professional and accepted a last minute order for cupcakes for my bridal shower a day before her vacation. We will be long time customers for sure! Tres Leches is already a fave! I have ordered cupcakes from Lissette for last minute valentines day treats and she did not turn me away but welcomed me to her business with open arms. lissette offer beautiful cakes and cupcakes at a can do price for everyone and has great designs for every occassion. I was sad to see her leave LA with 2 girls the parties never stop. cupcakes were red velvet with a cream cheese frosting and they were delicious! by far one of the best ive tasted. ive referred her business to many of my friends. this is the place to go if your looking for great cakes with a great baker!

VERY affordable FONDANT cakes! People don’t realize how expensive these can run. She makes the cutest themed cakes and they taste good too =P I have yet to taste the new macarons but they look delish.
