Victor came out and helped me with a stove this time and did an incredible job for a very fair price. I just wanted to acknowledge his awesome work and extreme niceness :)

When the dryer at my home stopped getting hot to dry the clothes, we needed someone to come and fix it quickly. We tried using Sears but It was difficult trying to communicate with the customer service person. After reading the reviews on Unilocal we found out that it was best to call someone else for the repair other than Sears. We left a couple of messages with different repair companies that were recommended on Unilocal.We decided to go with this company. The repair man that came out was named Victor. He was a nice guy that was willing to answer all my questions concerning my dryer. He explained the problem with the dryer and fixed it in a timely manner.
I almost missed out on a great repairman source because of phone problems but we got it together.
I would recommend Victor if you want your appliance fixed with friendly, timely, reasonable, professional service and yes I would definitely use his services again!

Victor was awesome. He managed to fit in my repair in between appointments. He diagnosed and fixed the problem in under 30 minutes! Professional, courteous, and totally reasonably priced. I highly recommend him for any appliance fixing needs!

Victor came on Sunday and immediately found the problem with my leaky washer. It was an unusual part that broke so he couldn’t get the part until Monday when he fixed it. It was great to find Victor who is very competent, nice person. His rates are reasonable and service is excellent.

Victor seemed really to know his stuff — right away identified a drain clog as the likely cause of our freezer leak and knew the part (a constricting rubber tip on the end of the drain hose) that typically gums up in our model KitchenAid. Sure enough. He was thorough in his diagnosis and answered all my questions — what this part does, what that part does — along the way. I feel like I’m well prepped to handle the issue if it crops up again.

Our dishwasher needed a repair just after the New Year. The first repair company I called said they couldn’t come for a week.
I next called Victor. I spoke to him at 10 am and he was at our house within an hour and a half! He had a reasonable rate and came back for the repair two days later. Great communication and fair pricing. Highly recommended! Thank you!

My ~20 year old dryer quit on me after I overloaded it previously. I panicked and called around Unilocal listings. I left a message for Victor and he called me back soon after, maybe under 1 hour. He was available the next day and gave a 1 hour window. He was on time and even gave a call about 15 min before arriving (which I really appreciate). If only other service professionals were as easy to work with as him! I’ve called others before that actually sounded proud that they didn’t have any near term openings — don’t be fooled, they are not better or more likely to fix your appliance problem.
Victor diagnosed my dryer’s motor trouble correctly and had it up and running in no time. He worked quickly and smoothly, all the while being tidy (there was a ton of lint and dirt flying out of the dryer cabin too). He also explained what he was looking for and what to expect. Total upstanding professional. His rates are very reasonable; makes me reconsider the value of my home warranty contract, he’s that good.

Victor showed up just 15 minutes after I phoned him on a Sunday about my broken washing machine. He diagnosed the problem quickly and easily. Though it was not something he could fix – it was a plumbing issue — he was spot on. The problem was resolved within 24 hours. Victor is pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and kind. And his prices are very fair.

Our refrigerator has had an ongoing issue with its water/​ice dispenser and water seepage. Several years ago another service company told us the water line was probably frozen in the door and said we needed to replace it! They also blamed the seepage on a frozen water line.
I decided to let Victor take a look. He quickly determined that the water supply line from the crawl space was blocked. The seepage was caused by the little door that opens to let ice dispense was not closing; ice formed and eventually dripped, causing the seepage. I had the water supply fixed. Victor disassembled the ice etc control panel and removed the solenoid that opens and closes the dispenser door. He attempted to repair it, but it was hopeless. He returned the next day (on his day off!) and installed the new part. We now have ice, water, and no leaks! Victor’s level of customer service and talent is the BEST!

As all of the other reviewers have noted, Victor is amazing. He fixed my range, after another repair technician had failed miserably (and refused to provide a refund). He returns phone calls, is prompt, courteous, and frankly is just a nice guy. Without question, I will call Victor for any other appliance repair needs in the future.

Victor is such a pro, came in on time on a Saturday morning. He was honest and charged fairly for fixing my dryer and microwave. Highly recommended, he even guaranteed his work unlike the other appliance repair on Unilocal!Highly recommended!

Victor arrived on Sunday morning during the time window we agreed to when I phoned him on Friday afternoon. As promised, he phoned when he was on his way. When he arrived, I found him to be very pleasant and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the issue with my dryer, which really wasn’t my dryer at all. Turns out the circuit breaker had tripped. Once he reset the breaker, the dryer worked!
I know what you’re all thinking, didn’t she check the breakers herself? Yes, I did but it appears that I missed seeing this one was slightly out of place. Thanks to Victor for not making me feel foolish!

Victor is now my go-​to appliance repair guy. I appreciate a business that actually calls you back in a timely manner and keeps me updated on their time of arrival for an appointment. The heating element failed on our Samsung dryer and Victor had the part already on hand so I did not have to make another appointment to get it replaced. He came in the time frame promised and was in and out within an hour. Great service and more than fair pricing. Highly recommended!

Victor called just before my appointment window and updated me (still on time though!) on his arrival which greatly helped my scheduling for the day. On arrival he quickly diagnosed a simple fix for our oven and was incredibly candid. His exact words were, «you look like a pretty handy guy» and he gave me the part number saving me about $ 75 in additional labor for his time.
Called a local parts shop and got the heating element, re-​calibrated the oven and it’s working great. I had one follow up question about one of the retaining screws and he called me back in 15 minutes and offered some advice.
You can’t hope for this type of service any more and if (when) any of our appliances need attention in the future, this will be my only call.

I needed to have a new dishwasher installed on short notice. I called a few places and wasn’t thrilled about the phone conversation so I was reading the reviews on Bay Area Appliance Guy. Victor got great reviews and he near my home. Called Victor and left a message. He returned my call and we set up an appt. Victor arrived on time and was very professional. He installed my dishwasher in a timely manner and hauled away my old one, which other plumbers did not do! His prices are reasonable and if I have any future plumbing issues, I will call Victor! Couldn’t be happier with the whole experience!

Victor, the Appliance Guy, returned my call about a faulty dryer quickly. He offered to come the next day and scheduled his visit for the day after to suit my needs. He showed up on time, repaired my dryer quickly (two worn out gas valve coils replaced), explained what was wrong, showed me the parts, and described to me how to do certain kinds of dryer maintenance, myself (which I much appreciated). He left within 30 mins of his arrival. He was smart, polite, friendly, clean, and considerate. Should I ever need appliance repair again, Victor will be my go-​to guy. Thank you, Victor!

Much more praise for Victor. He promptly returned my phone call last week and scheduled a visit to look at my Stove burners the next day. The burners would not come on with out the aid of a light. Not convenient or safe for that matter.
Victor quickly assessed the problem that a prior service company — which my Home Warranty company required I use — was unable to help with. He called around and found the worn out part at a local shop and was back later that afternoon to install. I was (literally) cooking with gas that evening!
Victor went so far as to charge me a bit less than quoted because he finished faster than he though he would. Very nice touch. As he was leaving, he answered a few questions about my Washer/​Dryer. If those appliances end up needing help, I will certainly call him.
So great to find a skilled professional with a great demeanor.

My washer wasn’t draining properly and after calling THREE other people who didn’t return my call I called Victor, who responded promptly. I hadn’t called him first right off the bat because he is in alameda and I’m in Benicia so I wanted to try local business first. Well, they were not that speedy, and I needed my washer pronto. So I got an estimate over the phone and scheduled a next day repair appointment with victor. He was nice, courteous, professional, and he charged me what he said with no surprises. A couple of days later when I thought the washer was leaking he stopped by on a Sunday morning to check it out. It wasn’t, it was just leftover water sloshing around in the catch pan. He explained it without making me feel stupid. So glad I found a great appliance repair guy! He is a gem and I recommend him to anyone! Thanks victor!!!

I don’t think customer service can get better than the Bay Area Appliance guy. Victor is sharp, and knows his washing machines. Great guy, and really enjoys his job. He was punctual, and quick with his work. I highly recommend Victor, if you are in a literal washing machine jam.

Sunday morning, my stacked washer/​dryer was not working. The washing machine portion was taking 4 – 5 hours to complete a load.
A few hours after I left a message, Victor called me back. Unable to guarantee a time of arrival on the same day, we set an appointment for 8am the following morning. He arrived on time, dressed with care (ie, no buttcrack showing), and ready for work. He took time to diagnose the issue, and after running it through a few cycles, replaced the door mechanism. He was cautious about confirming that this would fix the problem; he said that this $ 68 part could be the correction, or it could be another part which would cost close to $ 200. He asked me to wash a load and report back.
He would not take payment yet! He said he wanted to wait to see if this would fix the problem.
I have washed 2 loads on different cycles, and it seems to work perfectly. Yay!
TL; DR
Courteous, professional, showed up on time, fixed the problem, waited for payment until confirmation of the fix. I highly recommend.
