This review is somewhat overdue by about four months. Because my husband and I have accumulated so many items over the years, we needed a storage unit for leasing. My biggest concern was how secure was the place? I kept hearing things about units being broken into and items being stolen from other storage businesses. I can rest assured that such is not the case with Alameda Point Storage. They are pretty secure. Access to the storage area is via a password on the keypad and only up to 5:00 PM.
Even though this business is within walking distance from our home and very convenient, I am not a donkey (or an ass) carrying the load on my back to get here to unload things into the storage unit. Their monthly leasing fee is reasonable. We took advantage of their offer of leasing for three months and getting one month free. That offer has expired, but we’re still leasing from them.

They are so nice and friendly. They are very affordable and by affordable… I mean cheap. Thank you!

Extremely friendly, helpful and thorough. Only a $ 5 administration fee and they gave me the 3^rd month free when I paid for 2 months up front… So glad I found these people! Very kind and personable.

Fast easy storage with month to month contracts. They have 3 sizes to choose from, secured doors, and friendly staff. I only stored here for a month, but I’d do it again.

I have a small storage there and they have been nothing but nice and professional since the day I moved my things in. They are great folks and I recommend you doing business there!

I’ve been a customer there for a few years. I’m on auto pay for my monthly statements. When my credit card was changed because someone got hold of my information I went behind by a few months. Apparently they sent a few notices to my post office box, which unfortunately I do not check. I got a phone call from them a couple months later, and after calling back to speak with the manager she did work with me which I appreciated. I requested that they email me in the future and they noted that in my file. I do wish that they would have emailed or called me from the beginning, would have saved everyone a lot of time and trouble.

It really is at least TWICE cheaper than any storage in San Francisco, yeah I’d have to drive across the bridge every time, but if that saves me about $ 700/​year, it’s okay.

This place is exactly what it is, storage. Cheap, dry, and you can drive up to the units. The management is very nice and I totally appreciate that. It’s all about customer service.

I try to live simply. So, I’ve always dreaded the thought of ever having to rent storage. But, life happens. You remodel a house – you need a place to store and protect your furniture. Sometimes, you need to store your stuff while you move from one chapter in your life to the next. Other times, quite frankly, storage just enables (and masks) your hoarding problem. For that one, move on from this review, and go seek professional help, yo! As for me, I grew tired of my office space encroaching into my living space in my studio. So, away went the things I didn’t access often. If that’s you too, Alameda Point Storage is just fine.
Alameda Point Storage is old, kind of trailer-​trashy, and dusty. But it’s one of the few places with small storage (5×5), and it’s the cheapest place on the island. I just need functional, water-​tight, secure, and drive-​up-​able. Why throw away more money than you need for glamour? This place works just fine. And, the ladies behind the desk are a hoot (in a good way).

Been using this facility since ’97, never had any problems. They’ve always been very accommodating, even on late payments they are willing to work with you. Probably the best prices, too!

I stored my car here in the outdoor lot. The owners are friendly and helpful. They even gave me a battery jump-​start when mine was dead. But the car still wouldn’t start – someone had siphoned the gas out of the tank! So I recommend locking gas caps here.

I have rented here, and while the place is kinda skeezy, you won’t find a better price. The units are unlit, which can be a problem, but I had a man who worked there help me out by holding a flashlight while I was loading my unit one evening… unasked for! That was very nice. The hours will vary by season.
My main beef IS the website. The hours listed are not at all what you find when you drive up… currently (6÷7÷11) the website says that they are open May-​Oct until 8pm. So I load my car, and drive over, only to discover that a handwritten sign puts the unit closing hours at 5:45pm!!! Note to owners: Nobody likes driving all the way down to your business, only to find that they can’t get in because YOUR website is wrong. Please keep on top of that.
Also, the rental prices listed are marked with a little asterisk (*) telling you that the unit prices quoted are ‘pre-tax’…so be sure to factor a bit extra into the price you see on the website, because until you contact them, you won’t know exactly how much you’ll be paying.
However, for all that, you do get what you pay for, and when you’re on a budget, you really can’t expect a good price AND state-​of-​the-​art surveillance/​24 Hours/​constant lighting, either. This place is probably best for folks who will rarely need to access their goodies in storage.

The place is closed on Mondays.
At night, after business hours — they have guard dogs roam around the facility to deter thieves.
There is also a resident staff who lives at the premises.
Staff at the office are nice.
This storage has been here since the days of the Naval Air Station which was owned by the Navy way back when. Furthermore, the storage is a little bit worn down but still functions.

I would like to give them no stars, but since I have to pick at least one, I am. But I rate them a «0»! When we first moved our stuff there, the place was pretty nice, and clean, and there were dumpsters to throw trash in. Then it was sold, and has gone downhill from there. The manager living on premises lives in a beat-​up trailer, and the place is totally trashy! And… no more dumpsters, they are for «employees» only. It is still the cheapest place in town, but we are going to move, as it is just a total dump. The people that work there are not helpful or friendly… the parking lot for cars & RV’s is just a huge junkyard. Their website says all vehicles must have current tags and insurance, and I can GUARANTEE that 99% DO NOT! A TOTAL DUMP!!!
