Alameda Food Coma Pop-Up Event

Time: 1:37pm/67°F mostly sunny
Purpose: Wanted to attend the (Get Stuffed) got there and saw couple of canopys on scene. Walk up and saw a different sign. So I search on my phone for the event I wanted. It came up inside a building right behind me, walk there look around not one soul was there, I got furious and left.
Set-​up: Canopys and tents in a parking lot as the whole lot was theirs, no school in session. Couple of jewelry/​crafts mostly items pull from the attic like. They even have their own comedy stage were people in back of a truck with mic cracking jokes. Like Victor said today’s theme was classic muscle cars with a few imports added, no European cars only a trick black BMW M4. Vendors for food was weak aside from that Frank’s Pie guy.
Participants: Just milling around looking around bored themselves. Come any closer to look at their ride and they get nervous for what? Most of the people that came were mostly friends or associates.
Cleanliness: Area was clean along with the cars some were applying stainless steel cleaner and McGuire’s wax.
Punch Lines: Classic/​vintage & imports rice rockets cars, comedy stage, food vendors, crafts/​jewelry, baseball field, track field, college of Alameda, abundance of parking. Nearby Target store, bus stop, Walgreen’s, fast food places, Posey tube.
Tradeoffs: You come here if you’re into cars or socialize with your friends.
Final Thoughts: Wasted my time and gas coming out here thinking I will get stuffed, only to find out there was no event taking place. Just wish it was specify more clearly then it stated. Also there was a drone in the sky hovering back and forth not sure if it was the NSA or not. Luckily I was thinking about food man, headed to Towne Center for OTG ate from two trucks $ 23.75 total. In the end I’ve gotten over it and will remember what pop up means at 555 Ralph Appezetto way, lesson learn indeed!

Alameda Food Coma Pop Up is a biweekly event in the parking lot of the College of Alameda. happens every 1^st, 3^rd, and 5^th (if any) saturdays of every month.
today’s (⁴⁄₅) theme was antique cars. about a dozen cars were on hand.
just a couple of food vendors present, no food trucks.
interesting but not mind boggling.
