This is the best vet clinic I have ever been to. I have 3 animals, 2 cats and a dog, and I trust all of their care to Dr. Slenn. One of my cats is very aggressive at the vet and Dr. Slenn is the only one who has been able to keep him calm. He’s like the cat whisperer. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the doctor is always empathetic and helpful. Dr. Slenn never tries to rip off his clients, and only recommends treatment if it’s in the best interest of the animal. The first time I took my cat, I asked about scheduling a teeth cleaning. Instead of agreeing and making the $ 200+ off the procedure, Dr. Slenn told me it wasn’t necessary and that the surgery would be more dangerous than beneficial to my pet. After this, I was sold on his office. It’s nice to know I can 100% trust the care of my pets to this office. I recommend them to everyone I know.

This veterinary clinic and their veterinary staff is the best in the area! Everyone in here is indeed cares about the well-​being of their patients and clients. I highly recommend this animal care center for your pet!

Dr. Slenn is the simply the best vet in the Akron area. He’s knowledgable, compassionate, kind, and takes the necessary time to listen to you (since you know your pet best). He’s seen our pets as puppies and kittens, through adulthood, and been there when it was time for them to pass on.
I recall many years ago when my brother and I found an injured raccoon on the road. We were aware of the potential for rabies, but we certainly didn’t want to leave it to suffer. So we grabbed some gloves, some towels, and took him to Dr. Slenn’s office. He tersely told us that it was not the smartest thing to do, that we should never, ever have approached an injured wild animal, as there were too many risks. But then he looked at the raccoon, softened a bit, and said, «Even though it wasn’t a very smart thing to do, I’m glad you boys had the compassion to help him out and bring her in.» She was too injured to pull through, but he did what he could on our behalf.
So if you’re looking for a good, reputable vet that many people would recommend, you’ve found him.

Wonderful veterinary clinic! Very caring staff. They have seen me through several difficult illnesses of family pets. Reasonable fees too.
