«Park Marine» originally started doing business in 1957 operating out of the garage at the residence of Glenn and Irene Mears. The original partners, Glenn Mears Sr. and Tony Pastore went into business as a result of the family hobby of boating. Tony left the partnership to dedicate his efforts on the family business now known as «Park Foods».
During the period of time the primary effort was in the marine business with limited effort in go-carts, campers, rental trucks and snow machines. Concurrent to the Kirby Avenue move, Honda motorcycles were added to the line. In 1967 Glenn Jr. joined Park Cycle and Marine and purchased the business from Glenn and Irene. The main philosophy of of «the dedicated associates» still holds true today. The Park family has now grown to consist of Park Acura, Park Honda and Park Mazda/Subaru.
