It was ok. The food was salty and tasty old. I didn’t mind since I was on a date and food was far from my mind. Our conversation was flowing food wasn’t a factor. I must say I won’t be coming back anytime soon I’ve had better authentic Latin cuisine.

I was reluctant to try this again after my first experience(which had terrible customer service), but the second time around was completely different. I got the hot and spicy burrito, which was absolutely delicious, and my boyfriend got the quesadilla. We were both extremely happy with our food, and our waiter this time was friendly. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I was unable to try the margaritas since it is Sunday, and last time we tried them here they were severely underwhelming. If I do go again and the food and service is the same and if the margaritas are great, I wouldn’t hesitate to give it 5 stars.

We have eaten there twice in the last month, and both visits were wonderful. We shared the Supreme Nachos and loved it. Service was fast and friendly, and we will go back there again. The decorations and booths are uniquely done.

MI Casa is a truly unique dining experience. When you walk in the door you are treated like family, and the food is GREAT! I highly recommend the food and family atmosphere.

So just like any other Mexican joint. However it was more expensive and wasn’t all that great. I always get the lunch special speedy Gonzalez everywhere I go and this place charged almost $ 6. Most charge &4.75 and the rice seemed old and stale. Not a fan. Also the male host was rude.

Went here with my girlfriends for lunch and margaritas Saturday. The margaritas were STRONG! Woah! The food was mediocre. Our server was a little flirty with my one girlfriend and I think it made her a tad uncomfortable but she handled it well.

There seems to be a wide range of ratings for Mi Casa, so on the advice of a friend I decided to see how they compare to other Mexican Restaurants in the area. Last Sunday evening(Sorry, beer only on Sunday. No margaritas.) I was joined by ten friends to explored the flavors of Mi Casa. The friendly staff seated us right away with no problem(not real crowded on Sunday) and easily pulled up tables as more of the party arrived(I only expected six or seven). Salsa was a little spicy for some, but I found it delicious. My thought is if you can’t stand the heat stay out of a Mexican Restaurant! Chips were not at all salty. I ordered the enchiladas rancharos, three cheese enchiladas with shredded pork. What can I say: it was fantastic. And more than enough that I had to take some home. While this was the first time I ate there, I hope to return in the future. Thumbs up to Mi Casa!

I’ve eaten here quite a few times. The food is decent. The best thing I have had since going there is the Hot and Spicy burrito. I’ve had s few other things on the menu as well. Some was good and some was bad, but not bad to the point I wouldn’t go back. I do prefer El Puente over Mi Cass, but it does the job when I need a quick Mexican fix. Prices are decent and portions are nice.

The service was quick and the chips and salsa that came before the meal arrived were fine. The prices were inexpensive and the portion sizes were fine. Now that I’ve shared the positives, let me tell why you shouldn’t go to Mi Casa. The décor was horrendous. It’s like Mexico on an acid trip. Everything was gawdy, to the level of being cartoonish. The meals are completely devoid of flavor. I had the enchilada supreme. It has a few chicken enchiladas and some sort of rice dish. Nothing in the enchiladas had any flavor – not the red sauce, not the guacamole, not the chicken, not even the sour cream. With Mexican food you expect flavor – lime, onion, pepper, garlic and cilantro. The rice was red, so maybe it had some seasoning. Nope! It tasted like mediocre, plain, white rice. My mom had the beef taco salad. She said it was the blandest she had ever tasted. And, she can’t eat anything with any heat. She can’t eat Chipotle, because it’s far too spicy for her. Yet, she described the food as bland. She did like the shell of the taco salad. If you want Mexico food in this area I would suggest El Rincon, Chipotle’s or even Taco Bell. Yes, believe it or not, Taco Bell is several notches above Mi Casa. You’d be better off getting a frozen dinner at the Giant Eagle just down the street and microwaving it than eating at Mi Casa.

My family and I love going to Mi Casa. The staff is always friendly and really nice to our kids, both of whom love the colorful frescos and tables. The service is always very efficient and friendly. The complimentary chips and salsa are very good – the salsa must be made fresh, as it never tastes the same. Some days its sweet, others more spicy. My husbands favorite is the Hawaiian Burrito, which has chicken, steak chorizo, shrimp and pineapple all in one huge burrito! He never orders anything else! One minor change I would suggest is including the drink in the kids meal price. Being charged $ 2 for a drink with a $ 3.99 kids meal is a bit excessive. If you are in the area, stop in and check it out!

My family and I are always going to Mi Casa. Conveniently located in Firestone Park, the staff is always friendly(often giving my toddler free candy) and making sure that the food is good. My toddler is also a big fan of all the colorful frescos and tables. Great prices, I love the combination platters(about $ 7) and the entrees are also excellent and traditional. Chips and salsa I believe are homemade and are quick to the table.

This might be the worst Mexican I’ve had thus far in Akron this side of Taco Bell. The location is inside of a former Cici’s Pizza, and it’s quite obvious they didn’t do much to change the layout. They repainted the walls and added some«authetic» décor, but the layout doesn’t look that much different from Cici’s. I mean, the television was on the same channel Cici’s always had on(CNN). Service was extremely rapid. We had chips and salsa within a minute of sitting down, drinks within two minutes, and our food within seven. That was the highlight of my trip here. The chips were average. I didn’t notice anything good or bad about them. While the salsa was original, it was way too sweet for my liking. Too heavy on tomatoes. So I asked the waitress to bring out some hotter salsa, and that was extremely dull. It was hotter, but it tasted like and had the consistency of a heavily-diluted hot sauce. Gross. I ordered the combo dish that had a beef burrito, a beef enchilada, rice, and beans. The rice and beans were acceptable, but the burrito and enchilada were not. They were covered in some sauce that tasted more like marinara sauce than a traditional Mexican sauce. Furthermore, serving sizes were very small and the meat didn’t taste very Mexican at all. In other words, I think they borrowed the meat tubes Taco Bell is notorious for(kidding, but you get the point). It was disgusting. This is one place I will not be returning to in the future.

We were craving Mexican and Mi Casa was the closest restaurant. We were up for an adventure and decided to give it a try. Overall the sentiment was eh. The food is generally bland but the chips and salsa were decent. Service was terrible. The chips and salsa are quick to the table. The chips were fresh and crispy. Nothing stale about these bad boys. The salsa was decent and spicy. But don’t eat it too fast cause they are not quick to refill the chips or the salsa. We ordered combination dinners with a variety of burritos, enchiladas, tacos, rice and beans. While it looked great on the plate it was all generally bland with little flavor. It was mostly edible but nothing special. The chicken for the enchiladas was cooked well enough but it had no spice, no garlic, no salt, no onion, nothing. It was your generic boiled, dry chicken wrapped in a tortilla. The enchilada sauce didn’t really taste like anything but it was wet and added something to the dryness of the chicken. The ground beef in the tacos also seemed like it was boiled. It was grey and flavorless. Again no salt, garlic, onion, or pepper. They could have gone next door to Big Lots and gotten taco seasoning to add something resembling flavor. But the tortilla shell was expertly fried, it was crispy without being too greasy or too hard. Now onto the rice and beans. These are staples of mexican food. You can generally tell how good the rest of the meal is going to be based on their taste and flavor. Yep, just as I feared, bland. The rice tasted like plain, white rice. Trying to think of something to say about it, it was light and fluffy. The beans were runny and again bland. These were not slow simmered on the stove. They could have easily been from a can. It wasn’t good at all. I tried dumping the salsa on them, didn’t help. While we were seated quickly that was the fastest part of the service. Even though the place was empty our chip basket and drinks often went empty. They also weren’t friendly or hospitable. I’m not expecting to meet my new bff but a warm, friendly feeling from people handling things you’re about to ingest is always nice. While this restaurant in a strip mall is surprisingly cute it is also surprisingly tasteless. No desire to go back.

I heard some good reviews about this restaurant so I decided to try it out myself. First off, don’t let location fool you… from the outside of the building it doesn’t look like much but once you enter you will be impressed! The decoration of the restaurant is very authentic, colorful, and there is plenty of room to accommodate a large crowd. Our server sat us within a minute of walking in. Their menu is pretty extensive and a bit unique for a Mexican restaurant(which you can find on their website). I ordered the Fajita Cozumel which was a little bit on the pricey side but worth every cent; it’s easily enough food for two people. My friends both ordered burritos, they were the size of the plate they were served on… huge! Overall I enjoyed the experience and would go back in a heartbeat. The only real criticism I have was the server took a little while to refill our chip basket. Other than that, I found the place to be very enjoyable! If you’re looking for real authentic Mexican food and a vibrant artistic environment, this is the place!
