History

Established in 1971.

Established in 1971 Established in 1971 With an initial investment of $ 3000 T&C Surf was founded by surfboard shaper, Craig Sugihara in 1971. T&C originally started out in a small rented space that was formerly a barber shop in a building across the street from Pearl City Tavern. Thanks in part to a hunch that polyurethane skateboard wheels would be the next big thing, Craig brought in 100 wheels which at first gathered dust on a shelf for over a year. All it took was featured article in an issue of Surfer Magazine and these wheels became the craze. Craig could not keep these wheels in stock and the rest is history. The company’s local reach has now expanded to 6 retail shops on Oahu and a surfboard factory.
